both above and below the waves.I am Namor the First, Prince of the Blood, sovereign prince of Atlantis, heir to the dynasty of great Neptune himself. My reputation, especially amongst surface dwellers and any others who have threatend my kingdom of the seven seas , should precede me, as befitting my regal might. Many have come to learn why my name means Avenging Son...for all who threaten my realm feel the vengeful wrath of he who has been called the Sub-Mariner! I am called Namor the First for more than one reason; mainly because I am the first of my kind; my father, a human surface dweller named Leonard McKenzie, and my mother, a princess of regal Atlantean blood, Fen...I am a hybrid of both races Homo Sapien and Homo Mermanus, and as a result can breathe both air and water, and I am one of the mightiest beings in this world. I am gifted with vast strength which is greatest within the sea, invulnerability, speed, and special wing-like ankle fins that enable me to fly, giving me complete mastery of land, air, and sea, though the oceans are my element. Those that have opposed me have learned the truth of my might. I have faced such powerful beings as the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, the Hulk, Magneto, Dr. Doom, and many more, showing each of them that Namor the First is the most worthy opponent that they will ever face. If anyone threatens my kingdom, they will feel the unyielding wrath of the Avenging Son!!Just ask Reed Richards!!As you can see, I am one of the few beings capable of besting the mighty Hulk in combat...none can question my power!
