The Vijay Singh Fan Clubâ„¢ was formed to help bring together not only golf fans from across the world, but all people that appreciate and admire Vijay Singh. Vijay Singh is a great man, a proud father, a tremendous golfer, and simply a great humanitarian. We hope to raise awareness for all that he has brought to the sport of golf and to the whole world. We need to come together and support this great individual and his charity, the Vijay Singh Charitable Foundation. Always, in whatever the situation may be, remind yourself,

Vijay Singh grew up in Fiji and was taught golf by his father, an airplane technician who moonlighted as a golf teacher. He turned pro in 1982 and won the Malaysian Open in 1984.He spent time as a golf pro in Borneo, but also continued playing around the world. Eventually, he would win tournaments in more than 15 countries. In 1988, he joined the European PGA Tour, where he played full-time for five years. In 1993, he joined the U.S. PGA Tour and was named Rookie of the Year.He contended often but won sporadically before breaking through for his first major, the 1998 PGA. In 2000, he added a Masters title. His career really took off in 2003, and was followed by the huge 2004 season. At one point in 2004, Singh made 12 Top 10s in a row, the longest such streak since 1975. His 9 victories - which included his third major, the PGA - made him one of only six players in PGA Tour history to post 9 or more wins in a single season. He also became the first golfer to earn $10 million in a single season. And to top it off, Vijay Singh became the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world in 2004. He is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, youngest player elected, and the only PGA TOUR player in the Class of 2005.
The Vijay Singh Charitable Foundation benefits charities and non-profits that assist and support women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. The goal within their foundation is to distribute money to help underprivileged women and children and to hopefully share some of their good fortune with others. With his wife, Ardena and son, Qass, golfer Vijay Singh has established the Foundation to support nonprofit organizations that offer assistance, shelter, counseling and support to women and children facing domestic violence. “It’s about time we took a step forward and did something with the community,” the champion golfer told the Associated Press. “If we can touch even one or two lives, it will make a big difference.” Thanks to the AstraZeneca Company and the Crestor Charity Challenge, Vijay earned this contribution at the 2005 Mercedes Championship. Vijay and Ardena feel strongly about benefiting local charities, thus their very generous contributions to Make-A-Wish: Hawaii and The Betty Griffin House of St John's County, FL (Safety Shelter of St. John's County) who were among the first beneficiaries of the foundation.

These guys took a swing at some classic rock songs from the '70s, stomped all over them with really spikey shoes and used 'em to give the world of golf a playful poke in the ribs. Everyone from country club pros and weekend duffers to the guy that blows all his rent money on Golden Tee®!
