THE BIG C FOUNDATION was created by Actor/Producer Christian Jon Meoli in Hollywood in July of 2005.THE BIG C is an annual performance series giving those who have experienced Cancer an opportunity for creative expression of their stories through solo performances, music, dance, short films, poetry and other mediums.THE BIG C is an auspicious event where Cancer survivors share their life stories through performance, music, dance and mixed media. Some of the performers are partnered with 'creative mentors', who shape the life stories in conjunction with the survivors.Creativity can bridge what is most difficult to talk about. Through sharing peoples stories creatively, the big C Foundation strives to bridge the delicate and difficult subject matter of Cancer, that is prevalent throughtout many peoples lives.THE BIG C addresses a topic and a range of life experiences that need a platform for expression in our modern landscape. If for the sole purpose that people do not generally want to talk about Cancer (or even say the word), that a performance event about Cancer needs to be seen.We need assistance to be able to share these life stories to those in the midst of their own life battles. Sometimes seeing or hearing that someone's made it and lived to perform about it, can mean all the difference in the world."
