I write 'web service' software for Linux servers. My stuff can technically run on Windows servers - but if it's running Windows - it's not a server in my book. I'm an OperatingSystem snob. :)
My favorite color is tan.
I love watermelon in the summer, fresh blueberries and cherries when I can get them, and eat granny smith apples almost every day.
My next-door neighbor is famous but he's really nice. I know that is not 'about me' but I thought it was really cool. Most of my friend's neighbors are idiots. I do call my neighbor by his first name. That's more 'about me'. I know someone famous and I call them by their first name.
I love Jacksonville. I grew up in a small town. Jacksonville has everything a girl needs.
I hope to retire early.
Last year a friend and I followed my favorite band for a month through the South - every show in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, up the coast to D.C., Atlanta and then a second leg back in Florida. Had the time of my life. Didn't try to meet them once. I just love their music.
I visualize 'whirled peas'.
I think geek dudes are sexy and geek chicks totally run the Internet.

Music:

24/7. I have satellite radio in my car. Digital radio through cable, satellite radio through a dish, and Internet radio at my house. Satellite and Internet radio at my condo. Not to mention a 40 gig mp3 player in my purse at ALL times (never know when you will need to drown out someone else's shitty music - kwIm?).

My CD and record collection takes a full room of my house - LOL.

Movies:

I see about 1 per week at the theater, 2 or 3 at home on cable, and when I'm in town I might see 1 or 2 on DVD if there has been good 'new releases'.

My favorites are gangster flicks, pirate movies, the good sci-fi, and 'off center' pieces like The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Napoleon Dynamite (Uncle Rico is soooo sexy - har, har), or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Television:

I have a 360 gig TiVo!! How did we live without TiVo? I also have a network in my living room featuring a PC with a tera-byte worth of storage for TiVo downloads.

There is no way I'm ever going to miss an episode of Sopranos, Deadwood, Entourage, or Stargate SG-1. Really digging the new Dr. Who. HBO and Sci-Fi network all the way.

Did anyone ever watch Dead Like Me. Damn, I wish that never got cancelled. Brilliant show. Rent it at your local video store.

I just copied the first season of the Kids in the Hall to my laptop. Some of their stuff is genius. I have a slight crush on Dave Foley. He's a dork on Celeb Poker Challenge but I loved him Blast from the Past and Sky High. He's a cute little dork!

Books:

More into magazines for leasure. I use books more as reference.
