About Me

AndrÃ© Karlsson & Tony Freij decided to form X(Melon) in the remains of the Alternative Metal band Honey Hush. This is our story.

We've played with various numbers of artists, some of them very well known in the Swedish music business. We've always been keen making our stuff sound right, but it is still not close enough. Then again we hope that we'll never find out how the songs should really sound like. When we do, it will not be fun anymore, because then we have forgotten how to develop our music and ourselves.

In the last year we have thrown in a bit more aggression and power in to the music. Maybe that transformation from Alternative pop/rock to more powerful and mature power pop/rock/punk have something to do with all the dead ends we encountered through the times.

A few songs on "Pure" came to the attention of Smashed Records (Australia). They liked them so much we were asked to make a 6 track EP. "Pure" was released to be mainly focused on the Australian market, but in May/June the release hit Europe, USA & Japan. The EP has been well accepted around the world.
