My most recent obsession is tattoos and people with them (because they're always nice to me). Although I've not had one done yet I'm wanting a huuuge barcode down my back. And a star behind my ear. And lots of other things too. My favourite drink is Guinness or milk but never together. I was disappointed to discovery that it doesn't taste like Baileys (another drink I'm fond of in pints). I also would quite like a pet ostrich.
Everyone. Anyone with a pulse. And a few without. And special people. And those with talent of any kind. Anyone who's passionate enough to go after what they want. I'd like to probe the mind of Ray Mears because Ray knows his stuff. As long as Ray's alive, the human race is safe. He can make anything. Usually out of a couple of twigs and a rock. ARTHUR GUINNESS. SO I COULD SHAKE HIS HAND AND GIVE HIM A BIG SLOPPY KISS. And Jareth The Goblin King! Because only David Bowie looks foxy in leggings!

Right now, I can't decide if the best thing ever written is The Doors - 'Love Her Madly', The Kinks - 'Dedicated Follower Of Fashion', or The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band - 'I'm The Urban Spaceman'. Or The Cure - 'Just Like Heaven'. I love blues and if it's possible I think I'm in love with Robert Johnson. I kind of like Dashboard Confessional but part of me doesn't want to. For a reason that escapes me I adore AFI even though I think they're really twee (honestly I do, I can't explain it). I think The Coral sound like circus music but The Zutons are ok and I preferred Snow Patrol pre-Final Straw. 'Baba O'Riley' by The Who makes me dance like an uncontrolable bumblebee. And I used to like Hanson when I was 11 so for nostalgia purposes I still do a little. I don't like Fall Out Boy or Panic! At The Disco because the hype put me off. The Young Knives really scare me. I think Idlewild are underrated and that they don't sound like REM. And talking of Scots I grew up listening to a lot of Capercaillie. As well as Queen (peculiarly 'Killer Queen' always reminds me of my Dad), Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band. Right this minute I think The Stone Roses might just be the best band ever but I know that tomorrow I'll be thinking differently. TODAY I THINK DIFFERENTLY. I will say I like bands that I think are shit and mean it. On an insane day I think The Prodigy are the best thing since sliced bread. I love Brand New, Sublime and Eve6 for personal reasons. In a camp way, I quite like Huey Lewis & The News, although now whenever I hear Hip To Be Square I think of Patrick Bateman. And Fun Lovin' Criminals should be even more loved than they are. Because they're amazing.
Anything with a Stetson in it. And anything without Doris Day. Anything circa 1950ish. I have a minor phobia of child actors. I have a fairly major phobia of dwarves thanks to Don't Look Now. Black and white, even if it's modern. BRAZIL. And I fell for the POTC frenzy too. I refused to see The Da Vinci Code because I really liked the book and I would only have been disappointed. I love Plan 9 From Outer Space (see 'Anything older and lame' below). Edward D. Wood Jr is legend! AS OF DECEMBER 24TH, I AM IN LOVE WITH STUDIO GHIBLI.
Pretty much anything from the 60's and 70's (I was born in the wrong era). BLAKE 7 IS SO BAD IT'S THE BEST THING EVER MADE. Anything older and lame - bad sets, bad scripts, dire acting etc.. I like to be amused by the simplicity. Honda and Stella Artois adverts. JIM BROADBENT'S BEST CHARACTER IS THE SPANISH INTERPRETER. Also the Stella website's really fun btw. Guinness adverts!! SUNSET BEACH!! (So trashy).
"An infiltration of the morning's sun gave the various objects a certain vague structure but in no way dispelled the darkness. Here and there a thin beam of light threaded the warm brooding dusk and was filled with slowly moving motes like an attenuate firmament of stars revolving in grave order."
"The stars streaked the night sky with light in that little mountain town, and the silence and the cold dematerialized the darkness. It was - I don't really know how to explain it - as if all solid substances were spirited away in the ethereal space around us, denying our individuality and submerging us, rigid, in the immense blackness. There was not a single cloud to give the space perspective by blocking a portion of the starry sky. Only at a few metres from me did the dim light of a lamp fade the darkness around it."
FIBONACCI.
"Anyway we shall not starve. Well I won't cos I'll eat YOU!" - my Daddy :D
