I was born a cool surfer chic in Cali, but yanked from the good life before I was knee high and raised in the Chicago ‘burbs. I busted out of the midwest after college and lived in Europe for more than half a decade and had myself a blast. I recently relocated stateside to sunny Florida. My stint in Europe included two years in Slovenia (Ljubljana), three years in the city of mussels, (Brussels, Belgium) and a very long (wet and dreary) 16 months in the midlands of U.K. Unintentionally, I kept moving further east and figured that I would eventually end up drinking vodka with das comrades. I am now safely back in good ole U. S. of A in tropical Florida, enjoying leisurely beach strolls and ample pitchers of margaritas & shots of tequila. Dos mas por favor! There is no place like home!
During my stint overseas, I was active in international publishing, working as a freelance journalist and copy editor, as well as the Editor-in-Chief for an expat mag in Brussels. I was also involved in many nonprofit charity organizations. Good karma kinda thing. ‘Course I took time out to tour the continent and party with some of the best people an American girl could ever met. Not gonna name drop ‘cause that is sooooooo lame, but I met my fair share of amazing peeps and am honored to call them compadres. And I’ll say this… hobnobbing has its merits. Anyone who sez otherwise never did the Tango with the Ambassador, slammed a shot (or three) of JD with the British Ministry of Defense, played NL Texas Hold ‘Em with the president of the Bank of Austria, skied black runs (and survived) with a wicked extreme crew in SLO, or had the enchanting opportunity to listen to the Cardinal tell his off colored tale ‘bout a rabbi, a minister, and a ho'. SPICY! This last one I jest!
An animal lover and former professional Grand Prix equestrian, my second passion is the arts — fine, music, and the languages. A modestly talented, yet amateur artist with never enough time to fine hone my skills and musical challenged abilities, which has resorted me to be merely a music “enthusiast” rather than musician, literature is perhaps my strong suit. My Interests

Sports
Skiing, Tennis, Horseback Riding, Hiking, Swimming, Cycling, Running & my newest addiction TEXAS Hold 'Em poker ♦ ♠ ♥ ♣ !(Look for me in the flesh keepin' up with the big boys at local pub tourneys or .. and dare I say the 2007 WSOP a gal can dream . . .)

Traveling
Road Trips & Jetting (Last trek was a road trip to Chicago and the Midwest. If I see one more frickin' cornfield, please just shoot me. Favorite pit stop was in Chattanooga, TN. Scariest was somewhere in BFI near the Indiana & Kentucky border. Can almost hear them dualin banjos. My TOP FAVORITE places are Amsterdam, Jamaica, Malta & Vegas (not necessarily in that order)!

Check out my hot ride! (the bike of course, but my ole man is a keeper too )

Cooking
(Good thing I know so many people who like eating!)

Wine Testing (or more aptly lots & lots of wine drinking)
I used to be into fancy wine tasting crap, but now I will settle for anything that doesnt come in a box or has a screw-off top !

I'd like to meet:

Put a Bad Beat on Cancer Fun, cool people who share my interests, in particle poker enthusiasts who are up for a challenge and of course anyone who would be interested in my writing.

Music:

I'm into loads of different kinds of music, but my favorite these days are adrenaline pumping, energetic riffs or mellow accustics.

My all-time favorite groups right now?

Hard to choose...

12 Stones, 3 Doors Down, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Academy Is..., The All-American Rejects, The Almost, Armor For Sleep, Blue October, Bowling For Soup, Chevelle, Dashboard Confessional, Fall Out Boy, Finger Eleven, Fuel, The Higher, Holiday Parade, The Killers, Lifehouse, Live, My Chemical Romance, Nickelback, Plain White T's, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Rise Against, Say Anything, Senses Fail, Switchfoot, Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Velvet Revolver, Yellowcard.

Then there are the classics like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Clapton, Collective Soul, The Cranberries, The Eagles, Guns N' Roses, Ozzy, Van Halen, ZZ Top . . .

Television:

Really tryin' to kick the habbit. But can't get away from the quirky & cutting edge shows like [scrubs] , entourage , ITS ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA , MY NAME IS EARL , FAMILY GUY , SOUTH PARK , and weeds .

But it is not all laughs & giggles and I keep up with all my daily news courtesy Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert .

Books:

Any book by fellow Floridian Carl Hiaasen . This guy has wit and elephant-sized balls!

Most books by James Patterson . Except for his sappy stuff about letters & diaries junk. Oh and his last book Beach Road was a HUGE disappointment. Sorry — everyone’s a critic. But I just read his Maximum Ride and it totally rocked!

And last, but not least is the McNally Series . Once written by the late great Lawrence Sanders, and inherited by the equally acerbic author Vincent Lardo . Good thing the Palm Beach player is purely fictiticious or my ole man would have just cause to keep me on a short leash.

Heroes:

Stella & Michael. The two best freinds a girl could ever have.
