About Me

Nathan Holley is a versatile musical talent out of central Illinois, now headquartered in Jacksonville Florida. Whether working the acoustic side of the street with his one-man/one-guitar looping magic, or rocking out with his band, Nate brings great musicianship and vocal power to both his original music and his unique covers.

Nates goal as a musician is to capture his listener from the first noteto make sound that wont leave the audience where it found them. For him, music is the one thing that not only takes us deep within, but also far, far awayleaving behind the trouble and turmoil that everyday living can bring.

Holley formed the band King Solomons Grave in 2001, while in school at Illinois State University. KSGs mix of pop, rock and funk was a solid hit on the college club scene and beyond. As a band, KSG played venues all over the Midwest and recorded two full length albums (Keep the Change, The Upper Lounge Affair) featuring original music written by Nate. The band continues to play together today.

Nathan Holleys first solo album, Leap of Faith, came out in 2003. On this outing, Nate not only penned all music and lyrics, he also played almost all of the instruments himself (including guitar, bass, drums) and sang everything--both lead and backup.

Holley has shared the bill with such acts as Bon Jovi, Goo Goo Dolls, Ja Rule, Ciara, Better than Ezra, O.A.R., Stroke 9, Seven Mary Three, MC Lyte, Cee-Lo, Cowboy Mouth, Virginia Coalition, Umphrey's McGee, Michael Glabicki (of Rusted Root) and Bottle of Justus. His albums and merchandise move well and he has played in all types of venues, from small college bars to major clubs to large concert halls, including House of Blues, Tweeter Center, The Mark, Mississippi Nights, Freebird Live, Jack Rabbits, The Canopy Club, Daddio's, and Durty Nellie's.

"Really talented songwriters are rare in a business overcrowded with wannabes. But Nathan is the real deal. He writes songs with hit potential and performs them with charismatic verve. But the pertinent question is: Can he deliver hit-making material to Sony or any other big time record company? Absolutely! Nathan has the right stuff to make it in the big time milieu, if hes given a chance".
