Recorded at Echo Room Productions in Uxbridge, MA with producer Ian Van Opijnen (Vanna, Therefore I Am, After the Sirens), the record is ACADIA’s first with Boston label Robotica Records. Signed in March of 2006 due to the bands “Vision, Talent, and Unrivaled Stage Showâ€, Acadia went on to complete a summer tour with friends FOREDOES ME QUITE and shared the stage with bands such as Vanna (Epitaph), ZOX (Side One Dummy), Kevin Devine and the Goddamn Band (Columbia), The Scene Aesthetic, and many more. The band has also been LocalBandsRI.com’s featured artist, played on Providence, Rhode Island’s 95.5 WBRU “Home BRU’d†radio show, as well as 91.1 WSMU’s first featured artist on its “Southcoast24/7 PULSE†radio show, Southern Massachusetts’ premiere independent and unsigned music show. Recently, the band was featured on MTVU's website as one of the Most Popular Upcoming artists (december 2006), named one of the top 5 unsigned acts in the nation by MTVU and Epitaph Records, and licensed music of their record "The Last One Standing" to MTV Networks for use in their television programing and/or movies, all achievements the band is very proud of.
Gaining momentum by the day, ACADIA’s “The Last One Standing†promises to be one of the best records to come out of Massachusetts independent music in 2006, and ACADIA promises to hold its place as one of Southern Massachusetts’s best live acts.
