About Me

"Leaving lepidoptera - please don't touch the display, little boy...aha, cute..... Moving to the next aisle, we have arachinda, the spiders, our finest collection. This friendly little devil is the heptothilidi, unfortunately harmless. Next to him, the nasty lycosa raptoria, his tiny fangs cause - creeping ul-cer-a-tions of the skin. (*laugh*)
And here... my prize, The Black Widow. Isn't she lovely? And so deadly... Her kiss is 15 times as poisonous as that of the rattlesnake. You see her venom is highly neurotoxic, which is to say that it attacks the central nervous system, causing intense pain, profuse sweating, difficulty in breathing, loss of conciousness, violent convulsions and finally, uh, death. You know, I think what i love the most about her, is her inborn need to dominate, possess. In fact, Imediately after the consumation of her marriage to the smaller and weaker male of the species, she kills and eats him. Oh, She is delicious. And I hope he WAS!!! Such power, and dignity, unhampered by sentiment.... If I may put forth a slice of personal philosophy, I feel that man has ruled this world as a stumbling demented child king, LONG ENOUGH! And as his empire crumbles, my precious Black Widow shall rise, as his most fitting successor".....
********Vincent Price - The Black Widow (Alice Cooper)
You might say I am.........
Determined and forceful; Emotional and intuitive; Powerful and passionate; Exciting and magnetic......
And on the dark side.........
Jealous and resentful; Compulsive and obsessive; Secretive and obstinate.........
***BONZO***
ROBERT PLANT
Here are a few quotes that "say it all"......
"I'm on my second drink...but i've had a few before"........(The Donna's)
"It's fabulous dahling...CHEERS".....(Patsy Stone)
"Emotion: Agitation or disturbance of mind; vehement or excited mental state. It is also a powerful and irrational monster."....(The Criminologist,RHPS)
I play drums and sing but i'm taking a break at the moment....
I still have my very first kit, a mid '80's Ludwig Rockers (U.S.A) 5 piece (with 2 extra R.O.C. power toms. These were from the 3rd set ever made and very rare...I inherited them from my bad ass, drummer extraordinair cousin, Jon....) These I'll never part with, so I use them for practice. Not to mention they also sound GREAT! I also play a 7 piece Mapex Pro M ....I use Sabian cymbals but still have a few killer Paiste's I keep on my Ludwig set.
I've played since I was about 10 years old and been playing out (starting with jam nights at the legendary PARTY HOUSE) since I was 14.....that all started growing up with my "brother" Bryan Boyce. We started jamming together and went from there. And here, a GIANT SALUTE to his mom, Margaret, who I have absolutely no idea how or why she put up with us playing EVERY SINGLE DAY ALL DAY LONG!!!!! I thank you for that opportunity and for taking us to those first jam nights at the Party House!!! I love ya!!!! I also want to thank my parents ('specially my MOM, for actually LETTING me go to a bar and hang out when I was only 14!!) cause if it wasn't for that, who knows where i'd be now...THANK YOU for an opportunity that not too many people my age ever had...AND I LOVE YOU!!!!!!
So, Bryan and I had a couple different bands we played in together, and then I went on to play in my first and only "almost" all female band CORSAIR....For some reason female bass players were nowhere to be found so we had to always have one of the guys on hand!!! But, that was kind of cool too!!! In September of '88 we got to open for a band that i'd always heard about and we actually did covers of theirs...THE GODZ...from Columbus Ohio...
This lineup was Freddie Salem, Eric Moore, Mark Chatfield and Kevin Valentine.
Now THATS ROCK AND ROLL!!! They were a national band whom lots of my friends actually knew!! (check out their myspace or www.thegodz.net ) At the end of the Corsair days we actually got to play a show with '80's chick band PRECIOUS METAL right here in our hometown....that was AWESOME!!! After that was MYSTIC IRON with my singer Laura and some very good "guys"!!! Kind of evened the keel a little... After that we just dabbled in little things here and there and then took a break from playing for a few years...I finally got back into it just going to jam nights and then filled in for Lix on occasion and then with Street Foxx, whom I played with for a few years. Then came Tongue-Groove, which was half of Lix and half of Corsair.
Well, change is good right?? Change is in the air. All I know is I like to play, and play hard, whatever it is i'm doing!!!
Check out the Ronnie Hughes & the T-N-G Band myspace below as that's me playin(and singing a few)...maybe later i'll put a few songs up here!
Friday Sept. 1st w/ JACKYL at The Wet Spot in Caledonia

They were the first band I was ever really into, and Peter Criss was the reason I wanted to play drums! But soon came ALICE COOPER, PAT BENETAR, ANN & NANCY WILSON & HEART, BLONDIE, LITA FORD, JOAN JETT, THE RUNAWAYS... QUEEN, TRIUMPH, THE POLICE & a Slew of others......and of course, MADONNA, THE MOST BITCHIN BITCH ON THE PLANET!
