HEY YOU!

Long you live and high you fly, but only if you ride the tide.

About Me

My name is Jeff Cooke (they used to call me "Cookie" in High School). I'm an old, fat, balding, unemployed diabetic married 26 years with three "kids" in their 20s. Helloooooo ladies!
I am a cartoonist/illustrator/writer. I've written and illustrated semi-pro (unpaid) and pro ($$) for various magazines, newsletters, fanzines, newspapers, comic books, etc. Even self-published a number of my own. I have a gallery of covers on my ComicSpace page at http://comicspace.com/jeffcooke I MISS THE 70s!!!!! I became a teenager in 1971, turned 18 (and graduated) in 1976 and became an "adult" in 1979 (note, I did not say that I grew up, hopefully that will never happen). Though I wouldn't trade my post 70s years with my family for anything (well, maybe some of them) I sure do miss the 70s world. I would seriously hate to be a kid in this day and age! I thank God that I was blessed to live in that decade!!! I know we're supposed to live in the "now" but I definitely like then much better! Though I do appreciate having the internet, DVDs, and post 70s Pink Floyd music!!! Though I obviously lived through the 60s I was too young to really appreciate it. My only responsibilities were to be a kid. The main things that I remember about the 60s are hoping that the damned war would be over before my brother and I were old enough to be drafted and being totally entranced by Batman on TV! I rarely reject a friend request. Yeah, I'm a "MySpace Whore", dig it or don't. HOWEVER...if you are not on my friend list or haven't sent me a friend request...don't invite me to your friggin' group and don't bother sending a request if all you want to do is advertise! NOTE: My profile pic is from 1979. I was 20 and Debbie & Sue were in their late teens. It is not a current pic of me hanging out with teenage girls!!!

My Interests

This, that and some other stuff. I take the 5th!

I'd like to meet:

Whoever, and yes, I am a MySpace friend whore. If I send you a friend request and you deny it you just suck. I only want cool people on my list anyway.

Music:

Thanks to Andy, Erin and other influences I have become re-addicted to Pink Floyd! Well, mostly thanks to Pink Floyd! I am a born-again Pink Floyd junkie! Definitely the favorite (all eras including solos). I do like all kinds of music but I especially appreciate the music from the 70s and 60s.

Movies:

I like Superhero (big fan of Batman) movies, Horror, Fantasy, Drama, Comedy, Action, some Westerns & Sci-Fi, etc. (and, of course, the Pink Floyd films).

Television:

I don't currently have cable or a dish so I watch whatever's on the channels that are coming in on that particular day.

Books:

Mostly suspense (Stephen King, John Saul, James Patterson, Dean Koontz, etc.). I also like biographies and autobiographies.

Heroes:

Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12)

Porn Stars, Poets, Preachers, Pricks.

A couple-or-so people have shared their disapproval of the people who are on my friend list and say they don't want to be a part of it. I say, GOOD! If you think that you are better than anybody on my...

Message to my MySpace Friends...

If you are wondering why I don't post comments on your page it is probably because you have your page cluttered with flashy crap and/or videos. I just have dial-up so it takes like 10 minutes for clut...

Puzzling

I have a theory that every person is like a puzzle. Like snowflakes we are all individual but we are also made up of the same material. My thought is probably not original but I've never come across i...
