About Me

Yes, that's me with the one, the only, the amazing Weird Al. He came to Muskegon's Summer Celebration and put on an amazing show. I felt like I was his local/personal P.R. guy since I had seen his "Poodle Hat tour" 4 times and was telling everyone that this was a must-see show. Al didn't disappoint! The funny thing (and what concerned me the most) is that the local paper thought it was of special interest that a local pastor was such a Weird Al fan and they ran with it, including a front-page story. I didn't want my church family to be embarassed by me, but they were so amazing, understanding and supportive. Yeah Olivet! I love you!!!My first profile headline got me mocked (but only in my own home as far as I know)! I know MySpace can be time (life?) consuming and I'm not interested in spending hours looking at people I will never meet, but perhaps there is an old friend out there...someone who went to Holton High School (Michigan) or Cornerstone University (formerly Grand Rapids Baptist College) who remembers the "good old days", the blizzard of 1978 that stranded us on campus for a week, and the wrestling team staying at "The Gobbler" in Wisconsin. If you are one of those people...drop me a line!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

To be honest...I'm really intimidated by the people I admire and would most like to meet. I really admire some pastors who are making a difference in this world...Rick Warren, Chuck Swindoll, Bill Hybels, John Ortberg, etc BUT to actually meet them...I don't think so.On that note, I won a contest and got to meet "Weird Al" after a concert in Muskegon and I was so totally intimidated by the thought of meeting him. It turned out to be a wonderful opportunity (hence, the picture of Al and me!) but it went well because he is a really, really nice guy and was very kind to Pam and me. Thanks Al!
