About Me

Oh... Where shall I begin? I will need to have a think about this and come back to you. It's a shame that such an auspicious occasion as this, our very first meeting, should be sullied by my lack of forethought with respect to filling in the blanks on this 'ere page... Will you ever forgive me? Will you ever come back? How will I know if it's you? Oh, it's all too confusing...
This is Dante's Kitten, by the way, and she represents my core function on the surface of this rotating bluey-green globe on which we all ride, in our incessant orbit of the fiery globe... While we and the planets we inhabit are propelled through the universe by mysterious energies and workings, I like to make noises. Some people have been kind enough to call these noises 'music', but I should make your own mind up...
I am currently involved with a number of very varied musical projects; Drive North West from Warrington (one of the most musical pub bands your likely to catch), Sauce from Northwich (70's to 07's covers with a twist), the very talented Thom Kirkpatrick and the Beautiful Noise from Warwickshire (original acoustic rootsy folk... brilliant!), and most recently (and the project that I'm most excited about!) writing, recording and perfoming with British melodic rockers Dante Fox .

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

In no particular order, other than as they come into my head... Ray Mears, Brian May, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Ty Tabor, Bill Bailey...

Stuff to check out...

Despite a deluge of (let's be honest) effluent out here in the digital domain, there are a few gems worth seeking out...
For random crazyness, check out John Sadowski 's world observations...
If your imagination is fired up by photographic images, I'd suggest you pay The Circle of Confusion a visit...
And for anyone of a wordy bent, you must check out the wonderful Phrontistery , a fabulous archive of obscure words and vocabulary...
Enjoy!

For further details and tickets for Jimi Jamison's (ex Survivor) first UK tour, please visit Factory5Events .

Music:

If the term existed, I'd be an "omni-muso-vore" as I'm pretty much open to anything tunes-wise... Currently listening to Yann Tiersen's soundtrack to Amelie, and Survivor... a lot!

Movies:

Anything written, directed or produced by Luc Besson, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, George Lucas, Baz Lurhmann, Kevin Smith or Joss Whedon... for starters!

Television:

More Joss I'm afraid... Oh and Blackadder, 24, Battlestar Galactica, Black Books, QI, Fawlty Towers, 8 out of 10 Cats, Takeshi's Castle, Hustle, Mock The Week...

Books:

Enjoy Terry Pratchett, Christopher Brookmyre, Douglas Adams & Ben Elton, and would heartily recommend Fingerprints of the Gods (Hancock), God's Debris (Adams), Uriels Machine (Knight/Lomas) and The Time Traveler's Wife (Niffenegger) to all.

Heroes:

"Save the cheerleader, save the world!"
