I was born in Rome in 1974.I've been interested in dance music since I was a child: I was spending my money with those 45rpm vinyls and trying to learn playing a Bontempi keyboard my parents gave me.I was inspired from my grandfather, my mother's father, who lived believing that music should be his life. Infacts he became one of the most important violin players in Brazil, where my family moved after World War 2.I think I've taken from him the love for music, but I never tought I could be a violin player: my destination was about dance music and there was only one way to reach it.To be a dj.In my teen age I've gone on buying records: I still have those vinyls by Sabrina Salerno, Jovanotti and many more italian dance artists from the 80's. Then I discovered english music, with Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode. I was also intersted about 80's rap scene, I was going to school with a cassette player, listening to Run DMC and De La Soul. I opened my 45 player to train scratching. I remember the first record I tried to scratch on, it was Madonna's PAPA DON'T PREACH, the single version. In the beginning of the 90's, when pc softwares became easier to find, I started composing music with my Amiga 500. I bought a small sampler, I could not believe I could record on my pc every sound I wanted!!! I remember the very first sound I sampled was the orchestral intro from Pet Shop Boys' LEFT TO MY OWN DEVICES, from the INTROSPECTIVE album.I spent entire days and sleepless nights sampling everything and starting working on my remixes. In that period I also started thinking I could be a dj. We used to have those teenage parties with my friends, where everyone kiss girls for the first time, and it was between those kisses I started imaging wich song I would like to play after the one we were dancing or listening. I started buying much more vinyls, even if I already had many more cds, more singles with extended mixes, more club music.I learned new things about music styles called "techno", "house", "progressive", "trance" and many more. I had started my dj training with my home turntable, but then I faced that it was almost impossible, so I asked some lessons to a dj I met in a record shop in Rome. I saved money to buy the Technichs turntables: I found an announcement about a guy who wanted to sell his ones, because he needed money, so I met him: they were perfect! But I only had money for one of them. My parents helped me and I started my dj dream! I started organizing parties with my friends and after some years, my first official club set arrived in 1997. I played only progressive music. After some years I discovered I could be an mc too, so I took the microphone and had many important italian clubs to work as a dj and mc too. In 1999 I started working as a producer too: after some studio works for other artists, I had my first promo single in 2002, wich became a floorfiller in so many countries. I had the onour to work with and remix many important italian deejays, such as Mario Più, Molella, and some more. I had many n.1 singles and remixes in italian dance charts and some good releases in many countries. And the story goes on...SYGMA
