Charles Bukowskis novels are the funniest I've ever read but I prefer John Hegley for poetry.

John Lanchesters Mr Phillips, has had more than one read.
American Psycho, Fear & Loathing, Jaws, One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest..it's the familier pattern reading of a film fan searching for the differences.
