About Me

Way before the new epidemic called "Grime" was acknowledged in the U.S., there was an Entaprise wordsmith already in the studio laying down tracks by the name of Double K (Knecessary Knowledge), formerly known as Killa-K. Due to timing in NY, he was unable to record a decent amount of songs just freestyles. Since he came back to NY to hit the studio once again hes been knocking out tracks like crazy, living up to his former moniker by basically killing on the beats.
On January 28, 1988 a talented young man from Birmingham, England by the name of Christian Smith was born. Christian a.k.a Killa-K a.k.a Double K a.k.a UK, is a very determined young man that demands perfection when it comes to his music. Double K is not so much a quiet guy just very laid back. He saves his words for beats when hes in the booth making powerful music with the rest of his Entaprise Fam. Putting God first is the most important thing in his life and he believes the talent he's been given can be taken at anytime. 'If U Don't realise there's a man named JESUS CHRIST preparing a way for u, it's time to adjust your thinking'. As a new member of Entaprise Records, Double K is the perfect beginning for Entaprise UK. His accent is basically the only thing that separates him from the rest of Entaprise, other than that he fits into the movement. Just like his fellow label-mate and cousin, Young Menace, Double K is very focused and determined on getting where he wants to be, and thats at the top where he belongs.
Musically, Double K's style is filled with clever metaphors and words written that captures the life him and his people live. He is also a great story teller and keeps you wondering how each story is going to end, which keeps his listeners ears open for more. The Double K's style is not influenced by just one style of music, he is influenced by all types of music and artists. To him every genre gives inspiration to rhymes and how to have better character. He believes if you listen to just one genre your music will soon get repetitive and boring in due time, you need that variety.
In an Industry filled with people talking about things they dont have and basically always saying Me Too, he feels as if its becoming very repetitive as each rapper comes along to the table. With a new spiritual freedom he feels he will be able to reveal more than ever before on his own internal battles. With his new team Entaprise, The Double K believes they have a group of people with different styles so there is something for everyone. Hes not looking just for his self to progress and get bigger and better but also his team and those that he works with. As for now hes just going day to day trying to just write and spit on good music bringing his style into a game where its hard for good artists to get deals and more hard for UK artists to get acknowledged both at home and abroad.
