About Me

Born in Baghdad, Iraq of Armenian parents, destiny had forged a unique path for LaLa Avedis. She is best known as a member of the pop group Fem 2 Fem. She was invited to join the group following their tour with Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. With LaLa as the lead singer, the all-girl pop group went on to record “Animus,” an album that would reach 1 on the British import charts.Fem 2 Fem toured throughout the United States, Latin America and the UK. During a sold-out engagement at London’s Astoria Theater, “The Rocky Horror Show” producer Michael White was in the audience. Intrigued by their performance, he produced a musical called “Voyeurz,” starring Fem 2 Fem. “Voyeurz” successful run in London’s prestigious West End, was followed by a cast album that featured LaLa’s critically acclaimed performance. She was encouraged by rave reviews from such distinguished periodicals as the Melody Maker, the West End Extra - “Great voice,” and Time Out magazine that stated, “(LaLa) sings quite raunchily above a booming bass line which made the hairs on my legs tingle...that’s about as sexy as it gets.”In 2000, LaLa was featured as a back-up singer for Motley Crue on their "Maximum Rock Tour" where they performed in the States, Canada and also toured Japan. When asked about the tour, LaLa says, "It was so much fun! The lavish/crazy costumes were fun, and singing songs that I've heard on the radio for years, was one of the coolest things I've done. The guys in the band were awesome...had a great time."In 2004, LaLa joined the L. A. based hard rock band, Red Snow. She recorded two EPs with the band which earned them a nomination for Best Rock Album and performances at the Armenian Music Awards. She performed with the band extensively and received rave reviews at such venues as the Whiskey A Go Go, B. B. King's Blues Club, The Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre, and the Hollywood Palladium.LaLa has more recently been performing and writing material as a solo artist. She was asked to sing at the prestigious Kodak Theatre in Hollywood with international singing star Demis Roussos. Proceeds from the concert went to benefit children in Armenia and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. She also performed at the Playboy Mansion at an event hosted by "Desperate Housewives" star, Nicolette Sheridan, to benefit The Wildlife WayStation.
