About Me

It's impossible to even consider how to begin this......ok, .."Roger Nichols is a genius...!"..no, too in your face..how bout, "Roger Nichols has penned some of the best loved, best selling pop hits and love songs of the 70's"..no, too sentimental..umm..ok,..."Roger Nichols: the man who wrote 'we've only just begun', 'rainy days and mondays', 'out in the country', 'i won't last a day without you', 'i never had it so good', 'the drifter', 'love so fine' and hundreds of others"..this isn't working either..damn. How About This: so i sat down to give out some information and celebrate all things RN ... but i soon realized that approaching the greatness of Roger is something unexplainable. It is something that i have been feeling in my heart for so many years but stole away privately and selfishly with my record player and ears. i've never once tried to spill it out through a typewriter. But here i am now... talking in circles (small circles)..but then i thought, hey, if you are here, you probably feel the way i do.. and so maybe nothing does need to be said..no introduction is really necessary..Roger invented the heartstrings that he pulls and we are all swimming and drifting in his sea of melody..and until i can muster up some eloquent adjective-tacked synopsis, i'll just keep listening..and till then i'll always be somebody waiting...
