Psalm 18
1.I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2.The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3.I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
6.In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
14.He sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
17.He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
40.Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
41.They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
43.Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44.As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
46.The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47.It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48.He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49.Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
50.Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore......Sa Sa Sa Sa Sa Sa Sa!!
RULAH
vis-Ã -vis Ras Messa
Musically known as RasTa MessA "Da Cul Rulah", Tsholofelo Lesothebe (born May 16, 1981) in Pampierstad, South Africa, is the oldest of 4 children born to a gospel music veteran, Mrs Segomoco Dikokwe, the daughter of an award winning music conductor, Ms Anna Lesothebe.
Ras Messa comes with a new, unique style that he created back in 95...... "back in 1995, I would listen to Buju Banton or Shabba Ranks, and I would imitate them, and then change all their lyrics and start spitting them in my tribe language, seTswana. As I grew older, I started composing my own reggae and dancehall songs in seTswana, English, Patois and other 10 official South African Languages".
By the age of 15, Ras Messa had already established himself in the JoZi/Mmabatho music scene, opening shows for big time South African artists, like Zola, Mandoza, Mafikizolo, Mdu, Brothers of Peace, Thebe, Boom Shaka, Bongo Maffin, Junior Dread, K.B(female house singer), Ishmael a. k. a Esmile and they always encouraged him to keep his head up.
In 1999, Ras Messa finally got a chance to record his first group effort with his comrades Boffy Khan Gebba, Fezile and Tshepo a. k. a Panga. The CD got a little buzz in the streets of North West Province, Northern Cape Province, and Botswana. The album was produced by Ras Messa, Toledo Mofokeng (legendary gospel singer) and Thabiso Thaso Tsotetsi of www.ghettoruff.co.za . The album was a fusion of Kwaito Music, Reggae, and Hip Hop. All 12 songs were done in his native language, seTswana.
Ras Messas dream came true when he linked up with DJ H.K of Husky Records. DJ HK took the kid everywhere and introduced him to everybody that is somebody in the South African Music Industry.
By the end of 2001 a solo album for Ras Messa was ready to hit the streets of Msanzi. The album featured Boffy Khan Gebba and Bontle, produced by the man DJ H.K and Ras Messa. The album was recorded at Down Town Recording Studios in Johannesburg and S.A.B.C Music Studios in Mmabatho. Gallo Records was very impressed by the product and they offered an artist deal to the yuth. Due to certain clauses on the contract, Ras Messa turned down the offer.
On May 29, after realizing that most South African Record Labels were not ready for the kind of music that Ras Messa had to offer the industry, he decided to go for the American dream.
On the afternoon of May 30 2002, after a 26hour flight from Johannesburg, The Cool Ruler arrived in San Francisco. "I came to America to study Recording Arts Technology and network with artists and DJs, and luckily every thing fell in to place. He got his degree and he is also working with a handful of artists in Cali".
As soon as Ras Messa arrived in Cali, He linked up with DUST and formed the Group " GAZZI in 2002. WE released the 'One Hundred Lives' EP in 2002, produced by Meditation Man
