About Me

I was born September 24, 1967 in Laurinburg,NC and raised in Bennettsville, SC. I graduated from Bennettsville High School in 1985 which is now Marlboro County High School. Our mascot was The Green Gremlin. I used to have a 1969 Chevy Chevelle with a 327 c.i. motor, bored out .30 over with TRW forged pistons, Holley Carb, Blackjack Headers to dual exhaust with Thrush Glass Packs exhaust. My mother used to say she could hear me coming home a block away ! I wish I still had that car. My first job was as a stock boy at Roses Department store which I only worked at for about 2 weeks then a tornado hit the shopping center and the surrounding area and destroyed the place. Yes, I was there when it hit ! I was on the way to Cheraw, SC with my best friend Harold Hainey, to go see my girlfriend, and we stopped in because of the rain and golf ball sized hail. I am surprised we lived thru that. I remember looking up and seeing the roof fly off. Anyway, then my next job was at McDonalds. I had fun there and worked with many of my classmates. I went in the Army in August of 1985 to Ft Bliss, TX for basic training and school and then to Ramstein, West Germany for 4 years.11th Grade, Nov 1983, 16 years old
