Add to My Profile | More Videos Her full name is Rachelle Aleshia Harrison. 17 years old, and young upcoming artist lives in Northampton (England, U.K).At the moment she attends Moulton Sixth form, and Is studying law, as she would like to become a Barrister (Lawyer) in the future if her true dreams of becoming a singer should fail, which they arent as she is determined they wont and she is already on the rise to become the future of music. Rachelle is staying in education, as she believes you always need a back up plan. The music industry is full of ups and downs, so you have got to be prepared for everything and anything.I have been singing since I began to talk. Singing has always been and always will be a great passion of mine and I will keep singing no matter what until the day I die. Being a young black girl trying to break out into the music seen in England is real hard as the music industry over here is heavily influenced by pop and now an up coming new sound U.K Garage and grime music, whereas I am more of a RnB, Hip Hop and soul singer. I do believe I am very flexible, I try new things and change myself where it needs to be done, but at the same time I believe staying true to my sound and myself.My family are a big part of my life, they are my life, and apart from singing my family are the only things I live for. Without the ones I love, none of what I am today would have been possible. My mother (Barbara), the most special lady in the world, the one who tells me everyday I can be what I want to be and I can go anywhere I wont to go as long as I work hard for it. She is the one who takes me to shows, competitions and studios at any time of day or night. She is my idle, my inspiration, a strong black woman who I love and look up to.My two older sisters (Chaz and Sam), helped make me what I am today, telling me what sounds good or bad from there point of view to help me keep it real and to help me stay focused.My brother (David), the one that keeps me smiling no matter what happens. Without him I dont know what I would do, as when I lose a competition or come second, hes always there telling me dont worry maybe what they were offering wasnt right for me and he would always be there telling me there will always be another chance and that I just need to carry on.Last but not least, the man who I call god, my father (Rupert), who I lost in 2004. No man could ever stand as tall as he did my saviour. He is the one who I thank most cause I know hes looking down on me and helping me to carry on day in and day out, through the ups and downs as he once said who god bless, no man can harm. So no matter what tries to draw me back or break me down, I am blessed and I know Ill get where I want to be soon.I sing because I love singing. Its a way for me to release feelings that you sometimes dont know how to release. Its a way to get your point across, say things with a meaning and to say things youve never said before. I sing because I like to think I give the people that hear my voice the strength and the power to carry on and fulfil there dreams, as if I can do it why cant they.
