About Me

I don't get on this site very much. You can reach me by email, which is available on my website.
Well, I graduated from Brown College in December 04 with my second AAS degree, one in 3D animation and one in multimedia. What I've found I really enjoy doing is photo editing (see previous blogs for samples). I'm finally getting my website back up and running. Lately I've taken to selling prints of my photography, and have been doing ok with that. It's not a living or anything, but it's fun, and provides grocery money for me and something beautiful for you. You can check out what's available at my website. www.appliedperspective.com I work on a contract basis with JTI Technologies as an independent web designer. I've been working for the MN Sun Newspapers for 2 years now. I don't do a lot of ad design anymore, which is ok by me. I got transferred to the Eden Prairie office in August 07, and since then most of my job consists of publishing the North Crow River News, South Crow River News, Delano Eagle, Osseo-Maple Grove Press and Champlin-Dayton Press.
I love my car. A lot. I've got an 03 TDI Jetta named Eva. It's disappointing in the wintertime because I only get 38-42 mpg as opposed to the 48-52 average in summer.
I drum, I play the piano, I write music for the piano, I don't sing, don't ask me to. I love photography, but don't spend enough time doing it.
I think the advent of the internet has lead to the demise of proper english. I know I'm not as careful to punctuate and spell things correctly as I once was. It sucks.
And, just because it was funny, a stupid quiz:
In a Past Life...
You Were: A Happy Go Lucky Viking.
Where You Lived: Iran.
How You Died: Decapitation. Who Were You In a Past Life?

My Interests

Redheads. I really like redheads (I think it's genetic). I like other heads too, but just not quite as much.
"Once in his life, every man is entitled to fall madly in love with a gorgeous redhead" - Lucille Ball

Ok, I like other stuff too, like Volkswagens... and Audis... and Lamborghinis, Bentlys, Bugattis, Seats, Skodas... Ok, so they're all actually Volkswagens, but that's ok. I also like watching movies, playing pool, hanging out around bonfires, going to my friends' shows, messing around with graphics stuff on my computer, photography, German cars that aren't Volkswagens. Mastering the art of spray paint, big stereos, playing music, listening to music, writing music, burning music, burning man, ax-man, battle ax, battle cry, war cry, world war, world wide, wide-bottomed, bottomed out, struck out, wound out, wound up, sleeeeeeep.

I'd like to meet:

I'm not currently accepting friend requests, unless I already know you in person.

I've barely got any time to spend with my real friends, so taking on more people I stand a low chance of meeting is really low on my priority list right now. If you're really, truly offended by this... buck up. Grow up. This is just the internet.

Music:

I listen to what I feel like listening to. Be it someone like Project 86 all the way down the line to Milt Jackson. I love most Danny Elfman music too. And I'll always have a place in my heart for swing, jazz and big band. I used to be big into punk, but don't listen to it as much anymore.

Movies:

Cheesy comedy, drama, war movies, good comedy. Some favourites are the Back to the Future series, the Bourne movies, Italian Job, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (art in motion, beautiful), Hero, Ronin, Rounders, Three Amigos, any Audrey Hepburn movie, Shawshank Redemption, Count of Monte Cristo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Equilibrium, Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Monty Python movies. Oh, and Veggietales rocks.

Television:

I don't own a TV. I have a TV tuner card for my computer, but it's old and crappy and only works with Windows, which is unfortunate, as my Windows computer is semi-fried and very unreliable. So I don't watch any TV. There are TV shows I enjoy, however. Those include Heroes, MST3K, Eureka, Mythbusters, Stargate, The Pretender, Top Gear, The Muppet Show and some others.

Books:

I don't read much. I have a hard time concentrating on groups of words more than a few paragraphs long. Unless I'm writing them, then it can go on for a while.

Heroes:

Great musicians like Milt Jackson and people in really big famous bands that are still down to earth and fun to hang out with. Of course Jesus, and people who aren't afraid of heights and doing new things, since I'm very much afraid of heights, and pretty timid.

and Anson Clement for being completely insane and realizing the dream of every Scirocco owner. (click here)
