About Me

Click To Purchase By Mobile Click To Purchase OnlineThe influence in Jamie Gray's music stems from the days when his parents played Elton John, Simon and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, the Eagles and Don McLean, and from there struck a chord into the heart of a like-minded, inquisitive Jamie who went on to develop his own musical tastes such as Pearl Jam, Icehouse, U2, Counting Crows and Dave Mathews, to name but a few. These artists have influenced and inspired Jamie to create and mold his own music.
Jamie was the second child of four outgoing boys, he grew up in suburban Auckland where his mother taught as a piano teacher, he started at an early age to secretly listen in to his parent’s conversations and talk back radio; he found interest in the human condition which continues to this day.
Jamie expresses his emotional sorrow, love and laughter from deep within his soul to transform and reveal his trials, tragedies and triumph into carefully crafted melodic riffs and honest vocals.
