About Me
Maaaaaaan, 1st things 1st! R.I.P. to my bro Kascey "Kay Swiss" McClellan. You know we gone hold you down through thick and thin bro! All you have to do now is relax and live the good life...
Well, I'm Ya Boiye D, born as Daron Christopher S. on April 16, 1991. I've been rapping since I was twelve in the 7th grade when I started off in a group called, AO with 3 other members, and there have been very dramatic changes in my style and overall skill. The group thing for me didn't last long. We had our ups and downs, but to this day, we all still remain friends. After the departure, I stopped rapping for a while, because i felt it wasn't that important to me. But I soon found myself coming out retirement very soon. Still trying to find my way, I was writing to songs I wouldn't even have an instrumental to. Back then, I started off very simple and basic, whenever i did have an instrumental. I had this lil $10 mic from Wal-Mart that I used, and held it next to the computer speaker while the beat played and just started rapping. Lol. And back then, all I had was the windows basic sound recorder. So there was no time for stops, mess ups, or even editing! It was just one long or short rap and go on. But as you can see, I've come a looooong way since then! I was also apart of another group at my school, with me, my cousin, and two friends of mine. We made 3 cd's and only released them to our schoolmates, because we were just playing around and having fun, but they LOVED the songs and showed us love. That's another reason I've decided to take rap on as something serious, because I feel like I can make music that people will really want to listen to!
I'd like to make it to the music industry for more than just rapping. I would like to learn how to make instrumentals, and I would also like to become a song writer and an engineer. In my eyes, rapping just opens the door, quicker, for other opportunities and chances. I am currently working on a mixtape and album, and also trying to put together my own label. So hopefully if I continue to work hard at this, me and my team will make it to the top one day. But as of now, I'm just trying to get my name out there and get known. I feel that it's about time people know who Ya Boiye D is. And I've made many songs over my course of rapping, but as I continue to pursue my career, I want people to appreciate my music for what it really is. REAL... Not your average party-dancing, sellin work, pimpin type of song. I speak on money alot, but I try to voice my views of the world over these beats. Many people these days don't like that kind of music, but I'm determined to MAKE them listen. And I also don't want the kind of music I make to limit the people I can work with, because I'm here to show some love.. So if you think you can help me, and help me help you, GET AT ME!!!
