THE AUSAR AUSET SOCIETY PROGRAM FOR SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT The Ausar Auset Society is a Pan-African Spiritual organization founded in 1973 with the mission of using the knowledge of indigenous African cultures, history and spiritual traditions to restore the people of African decent to our traditional greatness. To that end, the Ausar Auset Society has been providing Afrocentric based spiritual training to the African-American community and to African descendants in the Diaspora for over 30 years without interruption. The classes taught revolve around the oldest religion known to mankind – the Ausarian religion of ancient Kamit. It reunites the traditions of the Black founders of these great civilizations (Kamit, Kush, Indus Kush, Canaan, Sumer, and Ancient Southern China), allowing us to weave their knowledge into a spiritually empowering way of life which aims at the awakening of the Ausar principle (the Divine Self) within each individual. All classes are taught by qualified priests and priestesses in the society. A partial list of some of the classes include Cosmology (Kamitic Philosophy), Meditation and Ritual, Oracle Consultation, Yoga, Nutrition, Herbalism, Homeopathy, Astrology, African History and Culture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Rites of Passage, and Capoeira (Afro-Brazilian Marital Art), as well as many other spiritual disciplines which are taught to students/initiates around the world. The selection of classes offered is based on the observation and understanding that the most important need of African people for survival and flourishment in the world is a return to our ancient indigenous spiritual traditions. Since spirituality underlies all other areas of life endeavor, it is imperative to cultivate the power of the spirit to its highest level. All classes aim at spiritually uplifting the individual to his/her true Self as symbolized in the Kamitic concept of Ausar by helping to transcend the false self-image and the negative patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting which keep us from succeeding in life. The Ausarian religious system has at its essence, the establishment of an intimate relationship with God. Its fundamental tenet holds that Man (men and women) shares in the divine attributes (Omnipresence, Omniscience, and Omnipotence) of the Creator, albeit, qualitatively (though not quantitatively). Unlike most other religions where man is essentially bound to the frailties of the flesh and is incapable of transcending his/her human limitations, the Ausarian religion is fundamentally based upon the individual's effort to use each and every life experience as a means of bringing his/her divine attributes to the forefront of existence as the "normal" way of addressing all issues in life. Ma’at (Divine Law) is the standard by which man must be measured while interacting on this physical plane. A successful campaign to this end is the requirement for making one's body – one's life even – a fit vessel through which God's divine attributes can be of service to all creation and the world. For the student who is serious about spiritual development, the Ausar Auset Society offers a multi-tiered Priesthood Training Program. Priesthood membership is designed to enhance the student’s spiritual growth and development which ultimately aims at the divine realization of God consciousness for each adherent. The Priesthood Program also serves to prepare the individual for a life of service to the community and the world at large. Graduate priests in the Society carry out their service as part of the Ausar Auset Society Priesthood hierarchy. In addition to the Priesthood Training Program, the Society also offers a formal Initiation Program. Qualified candidates will be guided through the 33 steps of Kamitic Initiation leading to the unfolding of spiritual power and enlightenment. Completion of all level 1 classes, attendance in TOLM weekly meditations, and the personal commitment of the student are used to determine qualification for participation in these programs.
