About Me

Akhera Unpa means "I am because you are". Everyday I'm tested on what that means for me, and everyday I give thanks to Neter--tua Neter--(the creator/God/Allah, whatever you want to call it) for... EVERYTHING: the ups and downs, lucidity and confusion, everything that supports my life and everything that challenges it... and for my BEAUTIFUL family... who I LOVE to come home to everyday. There's nothing like walking thru the door after a rough day and hearing your kids laughing hysterically at their crazy ass dad trippin in the living room and your baby running to the door to hug your legs. I have to thank my husband for the incredible love and support he gives. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you for loving us and for playing your role in our family. You are Mennefer! I gotta give biggUps to my boys though too: KhaShem NERU, Shaaim Uat AB, and Tchaas aum Seshmut. I love you boys!! You all make me laugh like crazy with that crazy stuff ya'll be doin and sayin. You each make me smile deeply in your own little way, and I am so thankful you chose me to be your mom. To my fam (each of you who keep me real and followin the 42 laws): thanks for challenging me to grow--I am because you are.

Everyday I'm seeking to maintain waking consciousness in the awareness of my original being, and everyday is a struggle. I'm not where I want to be, but I'm on my way. I know I am Neteru--a child of Neter (God), without limitations, made in the likeness of Neter. In other words, I'm the shiznit. Sometimes I forget though (That's what inconsistency with the meditations and spiritual work does though) But... remembering (staying awake)... is lovely. Rememberin you're ausar... all being, all knowing, and all creating... gives your dumb person a sense of Self... true Self...G-O-D, not that fragmented ridiculous person who worries about what crazy thing is going to happen next in your life, or about what someone may have misinterpreted, or whether your friends and family will forgive your shortcomings. It's about being at peace with maat--the truth--knowing that everything is in its proper place and time, doin what it do. That is where I am trying to be because that is what I am: TRUTH, PEACE, LOVE, UNITY, CREATIVITY, WISDOM, SUN, EARTH, PRIMORDIAL BLACK WATER--NU Being. And if I identify with this transient, fragile person one more time I'm gonna scream... Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! All ya'll out there who know what I'm talkin about holla. If you don't know the terminology I'm using but you feel me, holla. Seriously. We need to be reachin out to each other and doing this damn thing together. Meri tu maat to all my brothers and sisters for visiting my space and sharing positivity. Let's rebuild the family and realize that we are Gods and stop letting mortals tell us that we're not, and stop accepting their interpretation of who we are. Teach your children that they are GODS. Meditate! Communicate with the Divine. Stay devoted to the realization of YOU (Ausar). Hetep in your journey. Love.

If you're gonna drop a comment on me... please no mess... I don't get down like that and most of you know it. Love.

THE AUSAR AUSET SOCIETY PROGRAM FOR SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT The Ausar Auset Society is a Pan-African Spiritual organization founded in 1973 with the mission of using the knowledge of indigenous African cultures, history and spiritual traditions to restore the people of African decent to our traditional greatness. To that end, the Ausar Auset Society has been providing Afrocentric based spiritual training to the African-American community and to African descendants in the Diaspora for over 30 years without interruption. The classes taught revolve around the oldest religion known to mankind – the Ausarian religion of ancient Kamit. It reunites the traditions of the Black founders of these great civilizations (Kamit, Kush, Indus Kush, Canaan, Sumer, and Ancient Southern China), allowing us to weave their knowledge into a spiritually empowering way of life which aims at the awakening of the Ausar principle (the Divine Self) within each individual. All classes are taught by qualified priests and priestesses in the society. A partial list of some of the classes include Cosmology (Kamitic Philosophy), Meditation and Ritual, Oracle Consultation, Yoga, Nutrition, Herbalism, Homeopathy, Astrology, African History and Culture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Rites of Passage, and Capoeira (Afro-Brazilian Marital Art), as well as many other spiritual disciplines which are taught to students/initiates around the world. The selection of classes offered is based on the observation and understanding that the most important need of African people for survival and flourishment in the world is a return to our ancient indigenous spiritual traditions. Since spirituality underlies all other areas of life endeavor, it is imperative to cultivate the power of the spirit to its highest level. All classes aim at spiritually uplifting the individual to his/her true Self as symbolized in the Kamitic concept of Ausar by helping to transcend the false self-image and the negative patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting which keep us from succeeding in life. The Ausarian religious system has at its essence, the establishment of an intimate relationship with God. Its fundamental tenet holds that Man (men and women) shares in the divine attributes (Omnipresence, Omniscience, and Omnipotence) of the Creator, albeit, qualitatively (though not quantitatively). Unlike most other religions where man is essentially bound to the frailties of the flesh and is incapable of transcending his/her human limitations, the Ausarian religion is fundamentally based upon the individual's effort to use each and every life experience as a means of bringing his/her divine attributes to the forefront of existence as the "normal" way of addressing all issues in life. Ma’at (Divine Law) is the standard by which man must be measured while interacting on this physical plane. A successful campaign to this end is the requirement for making one's body – one's life even – a fit vessel through which God's divine attributes can be of service to all creation and the world. For the student who is serious about spiritual development, the Ausar Auset Society offers a multi-tiered Priesthood Training Program. Priesthood membership is designed to enhance the student’s spiritual growth and development which ultimately aims at the divine realization of God consciousness for each adherent. The Priesthood Program also serves to prepare the individual for a life of service to the community and the world at large. Graduate priests in the Society carry out their service as part of the Ausar Auset Society Priesthood hierarchy. In addition to the Priesthood Training Program, the Society also offers a formal Initiation Program. Qualified candidates will be guided through the 33 steps of Kamitic Initiation leading to the unfolding of spiritual power and enlightenment. Completion of all level 1 classes, attendance in TOLM weekly meditations, and the personal commitment of the student are used to determine qualification for participation in these programs.
