Salt Of The Earth

The Fate of us all is now perfectly clear

About Me

Formed in 2003, Salt of the Earth is one of the most promising bands in Chicago’s re-emerging heavy music scene. Influenced by bands such as Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Trouble, Sleep, Melvins and High on Fire, Salt of the Earth would fit comfortably alongside any doom metal or stoner rock band. However, the band’s appeal is wider than these genres, and they see themselves simply as carrying the torch that Black Sabbath lit so long ago.Salt of the Earth has performed live with bands such as Earthride, Buried at Sea, Place of Skulls, Debris, Inc. and Stinking Lizaveta and venues such as The Note and The Mutiny in Chicago and Birdies and the Melody Inn in Indianapolis. Salt of the Earth’s live show has been very well received (see attached reviews) and is heavy enough to please the most hardcore listener without sending the faint-hearted fleeing from the room. The fact that the band has been invited back at every venue they have ever played is a testament to the strength of their live show.
