My name is Joy. I have MS and I can't work which sucks! I should be on a beach but I'm frigging stuck in Ohio. Its been a year & a half since I got sick bad enough to notice something was wrong. And now it is like my symptoms go day to day with no change except some are getting worse. Some days are better than others. I have gone through weekly injections to daily. Give yourself a daily injection then talk to me. Then I went to something that has a heavy Black Box warning~I'm allergic. I started Cytoxan (chemo) and that didn't help. So I'm throwing my hands in the air. I have one more chemo to try but I think I'm going to take a break. I have gone through enough these last 16 months. I don't have a lot of close friends but that is my choice. My kids and grandchildren are my life, my strength. If you get close to me, well lets just say good for you. That trust issue plays a big role. Some say I'm bitchy, well ok, take a minute and walk in my shoes before you judge me. Then if I'm still bitchy, well ok. I might care but I doubt it. I doubt you would handle it any different than I. Don't assume either you know what I'm going through. There are only a few that do know or understand. Only ones with MS understand. The caregivers are the true heroes~God bless them. If you are lucky enough to have people around that want to help & understand what you are going through, then kudos to you. You are quite lucky. It sure makes it easier to go day to day with someone by your side. I am loyal to certain ones & you know who you are. The list isn't that long. My saying, and the kids will recite this, "worry about what someone thinks if they put the roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food in your belly". This is what keeps me going day to day. I love you!

My Interests

I love doing anything with my family. I love taking pictures, well when the subjects stand still. I love watching watching sports that mainly a guy would watch. I really love football (go Browns & Buckeyes) & Nascar (yay Kevin Harvick). And I adore racing. I grew up with the oval track racing & in my teens I added watching drag racing. Now I watch my husband race the car that we went to our prom and graduation in. Boy has it grown up.

Movies:

Wow there is a lot of those. I'm into tear jerkers but I think that is because I can cry & people think it is the movie. I also like the Harry Potter series, Oh no am I going to hell for watching those? The Lord of the Rings is also good.

Television:

All of the CSI shows-I try hard to not miss any of those. I can do without the reality shows. I do watch Survivor but not like I used to.
