About Me

Music runs in the family. My father has been a professional conductor most of his life. I started music at the age of 5 with the cello and piano and was a Chorister at Christ Church Cathedral Choir, Oxford, where I was fortunate to experience the highest standards of music making, studio recording, film, TV and radio broadcasts.
I guess it was only natural to begin composing in this environment which is what I did. Music took me on scholarship to Oakham School, one of the oldest schools in England and played a big part of my life while at the University of Southampton. In 1998 I gained a Masters Degree in Composition for Film & TV at the London College of Music and Media.
I've spent many years of my life away from music which has enabled me to study Engineering Acoustics at University and gain a Law Degree. I've given about 10 years of my life to a Housing charity, working with many of the less privileged members of society, the mentally ill, drug and alcohol users and offenders. I live in Surrey, UK with my fantastic wife and an ever-hungry cat.
I’m composed the score for the animated movie Flatland which is available as a Special Edition DVD, signed by the filmmaker !
