Twisted Wings formed in the autumn of 2004 and within weeks were gigging their music around Gloucestershire and the Midlands. When asked to ascribe a genre to their music, everyone has a different interpretation. It is a unique blend of hard rock, metal and rock'n'roll with some progressive space-rock – and it is constantly evolving. Twisted Wings are not afraid to take risks with their music, which happily maintains variety.
They have several releases to date, including their full length album “…we will follow our leaders…†which was awarded 9/10 and was ‘demo of the month’ in Metal Hammer Magazine (April 2006) and received excellent reviews in other publications.
Their follow up was a collection of tracks recorded throughout 2006, including the epic “Armageddon†recorded with Wired Records Project, which culminated in a sell-out show at the Gloucester Guildhall that summer.
The band is currently preparing more gigs for 2007 including possible festival appearances. They have finished a quick E.P. recorded in January, entitled simply “Fourâ€. It contains all the Twisted Wings elements of classic rock and spacey psychedelia as well as a more aggressive metal vibe.
Keep an eye out for more gigs across the country this year…
