"She can't find heaven, stuck between both worlds"

About Me

Fixed width testJosh Higgins was born and raised in Tampa, FL. The son of a preacher man. His parents Jim & Debi Higgins were a huge influence on his musical upbringing. He learned to play piano at the age of 12, and began singing shortly after. When he was 16 he asked for Fender guitar, and was quickly self-taught as well as the piano. When he was 17 he asked for a case of harmonica's and again began teaching himself using the knoweledge of his previous instruments. When he was 14 years of age his dad handed him a Leon Russel album and it changed his world forever never to return to the state of normalacy again. Raised in a non-denominational church, with heavy black gospel roots. Playing the B-3 every Sunday morning, he realized what would fuel his dreams. At the age of 18 he moved to Nashville with his entire family leaving the sunshine state behind. At 19 he began traveling with the family doing gospel music as Deep Waters Edge. Growing deeper into the music. Learning from his talented family what he could. Years later, he started playing seculiar venues, started a band with his older brother J.J. Higgins, calling themselves The Higgins Bros. During that time Josh found the one he couldn't live without and married Miss Jenny Leigh Thomas. They currently have a beautiful little girl, Jocelyn Rose. After two years his brother moved back to Florida with the rest of the family and got married. The Higgins Bros. band was then changed to The Josh Higgins Band. Josh Higgins is a work in progress. A songwriter, musician, producer, and a visionary. With heavy roots in Blues, Rock'n'Roll, Funk, Soul, Gospel, Country, & Southern Rock, he is an old soul as many would say doing the only thing he knows.
