2007 is rapidly approaching to a close, so it’s only fair to let you all know what has happened in the life of the Audio Hedz. They have gone strength to strength and being heralded as one of the most exciting new producers to have hit the realms of the harder generation’s music. Their unique sound is an updated version of the bouncy hard house incorporating tough Hoover-filled anthems or as they like to call it ‘Power Bounce’. This kind of music has a strong appeal to clubbers as it has an element of fun thrown into it which makes everyone smile while stomping on the dance floor. You only need to look at the labels and Djs that are interested in them in order to see how well they have done within this short space of time; they have seen the likes of Nukleuz, Tidy, Carl Nicholson, Andy Whitby and Dj GRH signing them to their respectable labels. Their current production with Andy Whitby called ‘Rock Ya Body’ (AWsum) has been a big success and has been smashing dance floors all over e.g. Tidy Weekender and also at Global Gathering. This great track is said to be the power bounce anthem of 2007, getting supported by many top Djs in the scene. Collaboration with Andy Whitby which is the remix of classic ‘Hoovers & Horns’ has just been taken onboard by the ever so popular label Nukleuz. The Audio Hedz also take a keen interest with working with up & coming Djs/producers; this can clearly be seen by another great remix done by them along side Wain Johnston of Question Marks – The Birds. This track has been signed onto the massive label Tidy and also is featured on Tidy’s new Album ‘Bootlegs & Blags’.The Audio Hedz’s future looks very promising with lots of projects in the pipeline which involves working along side big names as Cally Cage, Andy Farley, Technikal and lots more! Not forgetting their Mega Mash Series, they have plans for
, their last two were such a success that it was canned by Andy Whitby in nearly all of his sets, this time round be prepared for something special which is guaranteed to rip any dancefloor into shreds.Presence Hard-Wave is the name of a new label for which they are managers. Due to the amount of success they have had through production they thought it was only fair that they allow more upcoming producers a chance to get their music in the main stream. It is also a platform through which they can portray their sound more clearly. This label has only been about for a month or so and has already obtained attention from the likes of Lisa Lashes, Andy Whitby and JP & Jukesy. In these early stages the potential of this label can clearly be seen and is a name to watch out for in the future. Now coming onto the Djing front, where to start. The Audio Hedz are not just geniuses in the Studio (as they call it Ahead Studio) but are also great behind the 1s and 2s. With their crazy antics behind the decks they never seem to fail; with Joe’s Scratching and Richie’s cutting & technical abilities, you barely see these guys staying still. At times there would be 4 hands on the mixer pulling out tricks on the DJM600/800 that even an octopus would find difficult. They keep their crowd always on edge not allowing them to guess what is coming next and even time to time joining them for a good old stomp. This kind of charisma and involvement is rarely seen in the scene. This year people all over have had the pleasure of seeing these guys do what they do best entertaining the crowd. They have rocked nights such as Chemistry & Frantic HDS in London, Audio Deprivation where they loved them so much that they was given the residency straightaway & escape in Wales. They have now been booked to play at the all mighty Frantic New year event and Whitby’s new night called One AWsum. The Audio Hedz is without doubt a name to look out for with in the Hard Dance scene. 2008 will be the year where you would see these guys everywhere. They have talents both behind the decks and in the studio which is the perfect combination for any artist/s to become successful. If you haven’t heard of them or not seen them live then make sure you do as they will not disappoint and you can see with your own eyes as to why they are the next big thing in hard house.
