Movies:
I like a good movie with a really Deep plot, that hold you in its embrace. All you want is more, but can not get enough. You have to finish it, when do you have to find another movie eqaul to that. Empire of Wolves was such a movie, Downfall also another. Those epics, that you just go wow that was really good movie. I might need to put that in personal collection. A "water cooler movie" someone that you want to tell ever soul of it.
Just of some titles I strongly recommend: From Hell, Das Boot, Armageddon,Hamlet (Kenneth Branagh),Hannibal, The Order, Apocalypse Now, Augustus Loin in winter and Anything that Quentin Tarantino does!
Anime: Same thing goes, a plot is a must! the Plot, drive to become something more than just a movie.
Comedy: Mel Brooks and all his movies are classics in thier own light.
Television:
I do not really watch much TV, but when i do. It is more on the line of the BBC, history channel International, Discovery in all its forms. there has not been very many pay channel series have catch my eyes. HBO Deadwood and Rome are some the best TV out there at the moment. HBO known for some the best Made for Cable movies around. Ill Watch some of the Speed Network, but really only when there is a rally or a F-1 race on.
Books:
Mostly thing in the realm of classic history, into the crusades in all there forms. Nazi Germany, Come now WW2 is most for any man.
Jimmy buffett, Joseph Conrad, Ernest Hemingway, Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton and Thomas Harris.
Heroes:
Julius Caesar Oh Caesar how has history been unfair to you!Julius Caesar is often looked upon by historians as a
bloodthirsty megalomaniac whose only wish was to topple the Republic and install himself as King. I personally would like to believe that he was a patriotic Roman who had seen the corrupt side of the greasy-palmed Senate and knew that an abrupt change was the only way to save Rome from a “mob-ruled†establishment.My true personal Hero is Emperor Trajan, one of the Great Emperors of the Roman Empire. Military Emperor, but at the same time a man of the people as Augustus was. Trajan contracted first true mall so to speak. It was indoors, it had multi-levels and Rome was such a hub for business. it was just Ideal for that to happen and It took vision to think of that.
