Live In The Valley

One Louder?....Nyaah, we are TWO Louder!

About Me

LITV was started in Filsham Valley School in Hastings, 'cos THE EAST SUSSEX MUSIC SERVICE and RHYTHMIX realised they should help out young people who wanted to be in a rock/pop/whatever band. We started a long time ago in 1999 with just two bands, and since then it has grown into a well-known organisation in the local musical community. We currently rehearse weekly at Beulah Baptist Church and Bexhill High School . From September 2008 we will also be holding rehearsals in Robertsbridge Youth Club. See the blog for details! The course members are drawn from secondary schools in the area. There are gigs arranged, CDs recorded, and advice given.Although we receive funding from lots of lovely people including YOUTH MUSIC for this project , many gigs that the bands have done have raised money for various charities, including Comic Relief , Breast Cancer, Children in Need, and local schools for those with learning disabilities.Previous members have played at many established venues and music festivals in the area, (See the pictures on this site!) and also have had their music played on local radio. Some have even gone on to start their own professional musical career. However, fame and a millionaire lifestyle are not guaranteed! Also you can see a lovely film of us in action by CLICKING HEREDo you have a band? We'd like to able to give help and support to other young bands (under 18) In the East Sussex area. Get in touch, send us a demo and we'll see if we can help you. So if you want, become our friends below and join in the fun!Last year one of the projects we were involved with was getting an album of loads of local young bands out on iTunes. We called it GO GLOBAL and it's rather jolly really, so pop along to the iTunes site and get it! The link is that huge banner thing at the top of this page. Go on to the myspace pages of the TOP FRIENDS below to get a taste of what we do. (Please note however, that Rhythmix/Live In The Valley is not responsible for ANY of the content of the bands own websites). MyGen Profile Generator
