move over eggs- bacon's got a new best friend!

About Me

Just an old-fashioned girl. Every New Year's Eve, I resolve to start a new club or regular event. I love road trips, fireworks, documentaries, and all things nautical. I am nocturnal, domestic, obsessive-compulsive, and a total pack rat. I have a stubborn love for the archaic and impractical. I work with equipment from the turn of the century (no, not this century), drive a 38 year old foreign car, use a rotary phone, make pies the way my grandma taught me, love almost nothing more than browsing through antique books, and still prefer my cocktails with the ingredients in their names. I can look at a menu and know exactly what I want in under a minute. I collect everything from airline safety manuals to Jell-o cookbooks and chopstick wrappers. I am a listmaker and a diagrammer, and color coordination is very dear to my heart. Sometimes I lie in bed at night imagining crossword formations. I love state and county fairs and festivals for things like artichokes and peanuts, and especially the drive home.

My Interests

Puns, malt liquor margaritas, printing, mix-taping, collecting things, thrifting, board games (especially word games), food that comes in buckets and/or on sticks, baking, swimming, bowling, $5 shows, the word "taco", the Chippettes, late 70's-early 80's gang movies (preferably with dancing), Fred from "Valley Girl", neon signs, dive bars, people with uneccessarily vast knowledge of almost anything.....

I'd like to meet:

People who call you back. People who show up. People who make plans and people who call you in the middle of the night for an adventure. Someone who will go to demolition derbies with me, and go bowling in the afternoons. People who understand the value of a grammatically correct phrase. Hot boys who can fix my car. Someone who can beat me at Boggle. And anyone who will try.

Please don't friend me if we've never met or have no mutual friends. Thanks.
