About Me
R.I.P TO MY BROTHER WAYNE, MY BABY RHYME, AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO DIED IN KATRINA!..First And Foremost the most influential people in my life Wayne Darel Magee my brother died 2years ago. Everyday I live He Lives Naw Mean I Love You.
It all happened when my mother spotted this fine, tall chocolate military man scoping her out at the ILA Hall Uptown, if you a New Orleans native this spot use to be a place for second line parties and what not but the older people use to hang here. But I started far back because If it would not have went down between them I would not be here, to bless you with my flow.
I use to daydream hard and these weird thoughts would just seem to trickle in my head and it would insipre me to write.
It really evolved in school my favorite subject was english and journalism.
I would write these poems that were so deep, I was like I man all I need is a beat to this and in 1990 it all came together when a friend of mine put my casio keyboard to use in ways I never had. You know the only reason moms bought cause I was taking piano lessons. My boy "Eazy" R.I.P. man talking bout this makes me cry cause he no longer walking the streets, but for real my dog was like ya boy from Police Academy the black officer would make all theses sounds with his mouth, and he had flow one of the persons who you would listen to flow and you instantly would pick up your pen and be like man I got to get my flow colder. He made this track one day all the sounds were from the keyboard, drum track, piano, and he inserted a tuba shit was off the meter, I was like nine he was ten or eleven, My first song "Nigga betta Run" was so cold the lyrics were so before my time my father was like who song is that? Speechless when I told him I wrote it he was like where did ya get those words from, I said it was inside my Head.
A star is born.
My family is musical so you can say it was destined for me to go this route.
I knew since little that I loved to sing and copy every song on the radio and go to school and sing them to all my friends. In the first grade I got punished for coming into class singing "I'm not your Superwoman", mY punishment wa to share this to the class my teacher knew I was a character not knowing she was molding a star, I love to get in front the crowd and wooing them with my voice. I never was scared to do anything like show the world.
My people always made me show off what I could do, Like go do that dance you do on the wall or sing that song you know black people is.
Standing like seven feet talls she enters a room and though she is 5'2 a pettite little thing she has the style and grace of someone older.
