I am a member of MTL Roller Derby and am currently a Rollergirl in training, playing for Les Contrabanditas. I am also the webmaster for Mtlrollerderby.com. Oh, and I just launched Derbyluv.com, a roller derby blog as head blogger I get to share all the roller derby stuff I dig up with everyone, and I'm looking for other rollergirls across the world that want to be a part of it, and to interview for the site.... check it out. I'm happily married to my husband of ten years, who draws sports cartoons and publishes a blog about webcomics . I help him with bookkeeping, circulation, and customer service. I hold a Product and Vendor Relationship Manager position with a credit card merchant account provider here in Montreal.
I was born in NC and raised there, but came to Montreal when I met my husband. I don't speak french very well, but I try sometimes! My Interests

Roller Derby, Music, Movies, TV ON DVD, Comics (web), and the credit card industry (my job). Roller derby (did I say Roller Derby?, bike riding, hiking and Music.

I'd like to meet:

People that will listen to my roller derby obsession, that will encourage me to break out of my mold, Roller girls who will pull me out of my house by force if necessary after making sure my husband is okay with it to go skating... and people that can offer me work cause I need more money than god gets from all the people giving to the evangelists for all the travel and derby I want to do!Oh, and a rich, unknown, great-great-relative of some sort ;)Just Kidding!

Music:

90s grunge Alternative (ie Nirvsna, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam), new rock (ie The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, Disturbed, System of a Down, Three Days Grace, Trapt, Chevelle) a little idie punk or rockabilly (Rancid, Be your own Pet, the A-Lines, Magneta Lane) and some other stuff like (She wants revenge, On Bodies (I heard recently are great), M.I.A., early Kid Rock, Johnny Cash, some country music like "Save a Horse, Ride a cowboy" by Big & Rich, Fun Lovin' Criminals, the Beastie Boys) and my guilty pleasure I don't tell people is on my MP3 list til now - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, "Once more with Feeling" soundtrack. hahahaha - PUDDLE OF MUDD is my new thing.

Movies:

The Counte of Monte Cristo, Shaun of the Dead (makes me howl every time I see it), Horror, Sci Fi, Thrillers. Anything with Christian Bale. Comic Book movies.Romantic comedies make me want to hurl.

Television:

on DVD - Buffy and Angel seasons all, Firefly on DVD, Miracles (got cancelled) on DVD, 24, Lost, Heroes, Medium, HOUSE, and Supernatural (on DVD)Quantum Leap (on DVD). Newly adding Dead Like Me on DVD and SLIDERS on DVD

Books:

... anything I haven't read before. Anxiously waiting for Buffy the Vampire Season 8 Volume 1... go Joss Whedon - bring Angel and Buffy back!

Heroes:

My husband for saving me, My mom for being strong, Roller Derby girls that are hard core working it and making a success of their leagues and know how to run the business of making a kickass roller derby game fun, Dr. Will from Big Brother, and myself.

Anyone have part-time work in MTL available in English? I mean like a few nights during the week, (no Tuesday or Sundays) and Saturdays maybe... .. anything but telemarketing... salary not an issue....
