JUST FOR YOU.....EILEEN DOVER

About Me

Greetings!Eileen Dover made her stage debut as the result of being dared to dress in "drag" and look "presentable" for a female impersonation revue titled "Lover's Concerto" that was being held on Valentine's Day 1995 at the Brass Rail in Minneapolis, MN. The first song she performed on-stage was "Faded Like a Flower" by Roxette while wearing a full-length purple velvet gown. There wasn't a person in The Brass Rail that evening, including Eileen, who would have guessed all the unforgettable and wonderful things that would occur in the following years.I edited my profile at MyspaceTotal.com . check out these awesome Myspace Layouts!

My Interests

Lip-syncing myself silly for the masses who come to drag shows; collecting Holstein cow paraphenalia; pageants; acting; theatre; volunteering; music and music therapy.

I'd like to meet:

I hope to meet Reba McEntire, Ellen Degeneres, Kelly Clarkson, and Carrie Underwood some day. I wish those women knew how much their music has helped me...well, three of them anyway....and Ellen's ability to make me laugh every day. They're the best. I would also be ecstatic to see Linda Eder again. If Barbra Streisand "is like buttah," Linda is "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter..." ;) Linda's "A New Life" truly changed my life. Thank you.

Music:

Vocal standards: Peggy Lee, Bette Midler, Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand (DUH! I am gay, after all) and my idol-n-icon of vocal talent above measure to me...and who I am proud to say is a fellow Minnesotan - Linda Eder! Country: Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Patsy Cline, LeeAnn Womack and JoDee Messina. Dance-causing ditties by Kristine W., Deborah Cox, Martha Wash and by the mentors-of-mixing like Junior Vasquez, Paul Oakenfold, yada, yada, yada... Tons, tons and tons o' other talent like Jody Watley, Cyndi Lauper, Cher, Lisa Stansfield, Vanessa Williams, Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, Sheryl Crow and a lengthy list that would be rather long.Pretty much any kind of music is enjoyable to me except crap...er, RAP and maybe polka (sorry, Grandma).

Movies:

Mommie Dearest; Serial Mom; Mean Girls; The Devil Wears Prada; Chicago; A Star Is Born; Mildred Pearce; Romey and Michelle's High School Reunion; Dreamgirls; Miss Congeniality; Georgia Rule; Camille; Thw Women; Sunset Boulevard.

Television:

Ugly Betty; Desperate Housewives; Brothers and Sisters; Boston Legal; Dirty Sexy Money; The Ellen Degeneres Show; The View (A more enjoyable "View" when you see Whoopi, I might add); OPRAH! (as if that's a shocker to anybody who knows me); The Golden Girls; Will & Grace; and Reba (rather see reruns of Reba on Lifetime than anything currently on the CW, but I digress).

Books:

"Joan Crawford: Hollywood Martyr"; "The Audacity of Hope" by Barack Obama; "Bad President"; "There's Nothing in this Book that I Meant to Say" by Paula Poundstone; "My Point...and I Do Have One" by Ellen Degeneres
