peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hardwork. it means to be in

About Me

My name is Nilajah and I am a peaceful person. At all cost, I avoid chaos. I enjoy being around people who have a sense of humor. Every chance I get, I laugh out loud. Zora Neal Hurston said that you have to laugh to keep from crying and laughing soothes my soul! I absolutely love African and African-American culture and my ideas and thoughts are almost always culturally centered. I love basketball, weight-lifting, reading and listening music is my favorite pass time.I strive, although I'm not always successful, to "cultivate the habit of listening and observing, rather than merely hearing and seeing. And, instead of practicing the European habit of knowing all the answers, cultivate the African practice of asking meaningful questions" as advised by Tony Browder.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who: can make me laugh, are Afrikan-centered, can think original thoughts; are concerned with the freedom of African people; and believe in African-centered education/ideals.
