The mission of the Food Bank for Larimer County is to reduce hunger through programs that collect, process, store and distribute food to individuals and in cooperation with agencies that serve those in need. The Food Bank distibuted 5.6 million pounds of food in 2007 to at-risk residents throughout Larimer County. The Food Bank is now looking for volunteers to help us collect, distribute and organize food so we can effectively serve the growing number of people who use our services. You can volunteer in a variety of areas in Fort Collins and Loveland, from direct service with our clients in Food Share and serving meals to kids in need in Kids Cafe to helping us sort canned goods and making bags of commodities in our Warehouse. We can also use assitance during our various community food drives. For more information about volunteering with the Food Bank for Larimer County, please contact Charlene Olms, Volunteer & Development Coordinator, at
