MIDNITE BULLY

Midnite Bully is a movement that consist of 3 solo artists that came together to create music as a group. The members are Lahdik, Jamaal Isaac and Pablu. Each member has their own unique style, delivery and flavor. What's also unique about the group is how it was formed, it just happened. Here's the story: Lahdik and Jamaal (who are brothers) have been creating music since Lahdik was around 12 and Jamaal was 9. Lahdik wrote the rhymes, Jamaal laced the beats (on a Casio SK5). We recorded the material on tape, ya'll know how that went down 'back in the day'. Lahdik then went on to record demos with his friend Chopstix as the group 'Short Fuse' at the age of 17. At that time, Jamaal at the age of 14 began writing lyrics. He continued working on his craft producing music as well. Fast Forward to 1998. Lahdik and Jamaal Issac, along with childhood friends Chopstix and Kab began recording the single (100%) and album (Chosen Men) which would both be released in 1999 to favorable reviews. The group performed at mad Open Mic spots in Philly (D.E., etc) with emcee's and groups that you have heard of today. In those years, Pablu was writing a lot of music and working on his craft. After the Tenth Planet disbanded, Lahdik and Jamaal began working on solo material. Around 2002 is when the three members formed a group. How did it happen? Well all three cats would be listening to Jamaal's music and ideas would just fly around the room and cats started recording the material. Hence, the birth of Midnite Bully. Midnite Bully recorded and released the single 'Open Bar' in 2004 on vinyl only (what up dj's!). They recorded the single at the famous studio in Philly called 'The Studio', where The Roots, Jill Scott, Larry Gold and many others have recorded their material. That brings us to last year, July 2006 when the group released their album 'The Grip' to more favorable reviews. People are really feeling the album and we've been doing shows and are currently promoting the album extensively. While we're doing that, we're also in the lab cooking up a fresh new batch of material. Lahdik is working on his solo album that will be released in the summer of 2008. Jamaal Isaac and frequent collaborator MuZig have a project that is almost complete entitled 'Panthaz', coming soon! Jamaal is also working on his solo album. After those releases are presented to the public, Lahdik and Jamaal Isaac will finally release their duo album. Pablu will be featured on each project. As you see, 'It don't stop'. This is a rugged grind and as many artists like us know, it takes supreme dedication, and we enjoy the challenge. Lastly, our goal is to get our music in the hands of hip hop fans who appreciate honest music and music that is drenched in superb sounds and very tight lyrics!We will keep it movin'!
