Profile GeneratorMy name is George Moye I am a bass guitarist, rhythm guitarist, and music arranger.
I have been influence by some of the world’s greatest funk legends in music history. I watch George Clinton and the Funkadelicks, Roger Troutman and Zapp, Lakeside, The Ohio Players, The Mighty O'Jays, and Bobby Womack to name a few of my favorites. In my hometown Lorain OH, which is near Cleveland, I watched these entertainers develop their crafts make music history and as a young musician, it inspired me to assemble a family band consisting of my twin nephews and myself. Russell Moye playing rhythm guitar, Randy Moye on drums and of course, myself on bass. By the time we attended High School we had recruited more members and the family band became ten- piece strong. We performed locally and regionally as The Fabulous Techniques.
I gave myself the opportunity to experience different styles of music at an early age and I sincerely enjoy every aspect of my craft.
At the present time, I record and perform for a combination of bands both live, local and national artist. You never know where you might see me performing, It could be Funk, Latin, County, Blues, Hip-Hop, Jazz or Gospel.
Some of my biggest influences yet are my children. My daughter Malina Moye, has been singing, playing guitar, songwriting, and arranging music since she was 9-years-old. It is my humblest opinion these young artists absolutely inspire, excite and deliver a sense of freshness not often seen in the music business today. I am very proud call them my children.
Last, but not least, giving all the Glory and Praise to God, I hold the bass chair for the Rosemount United Methodist Church. I play with the N.O.W. Praise and Worship Team, every Sunday in Rosemount MN. Stop in at RUMC anytime and experience it.
