It's not you. It's me. I just need myspace.

About Me

Details are not my friends. I'm firmly convinced that the Exxon flavored coffee is one of the greatest things ever created. I mean, they have "french toast" and "blueberry." Who knew these could be coffee flavors and how did we exist (happily) before they were invented? I like extremes. Really hot weather, really cold, being painfully sore... they're like this perma-reminder that I'm alive. Sometimes I feel like I'm stalled out, so I go somewhere else. Sometimes it's other states, sometimes other countries. Sometimes I go for a week, sometimes for months or years. There's just something addictive about trying out different realities. I recently wrote a book and I'm trying to get it published. (The emphasis would be on trying.) The only thing that makes me really unhappy is when I feel like I'm living outside of God's will. Knowing that, I don't know why sometimes I choose to be derailed, but it's like this lesson that I make myself learn over and over again. I would like to understand the grown women who talk in baby voices. (Especially to me, another grown woman. So weird. Maybe it's a flight attendant thing, but I work with these baby-talkers disturbingly often.)

My Interests

I'm interested in finding out where all the ants went. They invaded my room for two weeks and now they're just gone. I can't help but feel like they're at some big rally planning their next attack.

I'd like to meet:

George Bush. I think I'd learn a lot of new words.

Music:

Jonny Lang, Amos Lee, Damien Rice, Howie Day, Ray LaMontagne, The Killers, The Afters, Sanctus Real, Dashboard Confessional, Relient K, Unkle Bob, Jimmy Needham, U2, Jack Johnson, Switchfoot, Colin Hay, the Decemberists, etc.

Movies:

I like 'em all. I mean, it's a 2 hour detour into another world. What's not to like?

Television:

I think "Prime Time" should start at midnight so you can watch all the good shows when you're running out of steam for the day.

Books:

I like to sit in Borders for hours at a time and read mental junk food that's all fluffy and light and puts me in another person's life for awhile. But sometimes I feel intellectually ambitious so I pick out a subject that I want to learn about that day and read up on it. Anything from specific wars to gangster's family lives to origami. Halfway through the book I get bored and that's probably all I will ever learn about that day's project.

Heroes:

The apostle Paul. Could he be more hardcore? (I feel like I should say Jesus, but I don't want to. Isn't that just a given?)

My Blog

Seriously?

So, I leave the gym tonight and as I'm pulling out I hear this continuous clunk-clunk sound. I stop the car, jump out, and see that I have a flat. Crap. Now, there's something I should tell you about...

Romy and Michelle

So, Tina and I recently discovered that we, as flight attendants, have the ability to hop on an American flight and go to Puerto Rico. We decided to do an impromptu trip. If I wanted to cover just t...

All Before 6:00 a.m.

So, this morning I wake up at an offensive hour of the morning to report for work in Tampa. As I wheel my little bag out of my room, I see three cops come out of the elevator and go into the room acr...

Side job.

It has recently come to my attention that I am not very productive when I'm home from trips. We're talking 4 days a week that I'm running around playing with my friends. So I've decided that ...

The truth comes out.

As it is obviously a rule that people you meet immediately inquire about your job, I get the question, "How's flying going?" a lot.  Although I understand the politeness behind this question, I d...

Leaving Nash-vegas.

So, I just put in for a transfer. If I get into the base, I'm moving to Baltimore in November. Just in time for craploads of snow. (Did I mention that I'm TERRIFIED of driving in the snow? Oh, and...

I have surveyed the evidence and I'm going to have to agree with all of the people who gave me a hard time about camping alone. It's true. I am a very irresponsible solo camper. ...

I want to know.

It strikes me as very odd that everybody else in the world is living in their heads approximately 18 hours a day. (I'm allowing 6 hours of sleeping for all of those people who don't suffer from insom...

Emotional Issues.

There are some things in life that I feel passionately about. I can't help it. They just hit me strongly. And, as it's 4 a.m. and I'm still up, I think I'll share them. Of course, I'm going to hav...

Gotta Share

I have to try to tell this story because it was SO entertaining, but it's going to be hard to keep it short.  I'll try.  Stick with me.  It's worth it.  So... my friend moved ...
