I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

My favorite thing to do is to let glue harden on a glue bottle and then pick it off. It's bonus points if you can get it all off in one peel.

For real, I am a Christian first and foremost. I try to base all my philosophies and opinions on life (and I have a lot) on this postulate. What this means to me is to follow the Golden Rule: Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul; and love others in the the same way.
Currently, I am a political science student at the University of Montevallo, but I will graduate in May 2008 and move on to bigger and better things.
I am really getting into running and have been doing so for about over a year now. I am up to about 25-30 miles per week. It started off just as a plan to lose some extra weight, but I've gotten kind of addicted to it.
Through my church, I have been able to go on about 16 foreign missions trips to South and Central America, Europe, and a recent trip to Africa. I think these experiences have really opened my eyes to understand what the world is really all about. You should try it for yourself!
Some of my favorite things to do are woodworking, playing video games, editing videos, arguing pointless topics (like how Coke is better than Pepsi), antagonizing friends that are easy to prey on, and of course hanging wit my homies. I'm in a gang.

My Interests

Woodworking, video editing, missions trips, church, rock climbing (or at least trying), other adventurous activities, video games, and trying to figure out the difference between vowels and consonants. I have a lot of theories. Also, I really am trying to understand quantum chromodynamics, but it's so hard to understand...seriously.

I'd like to meet:

I like meeting interesting people with interesting stories. I like talking to foreigners and hott girls. A foreign hott girl would be two times nice.
I'd also like to meet my wife at some point. Please, if you think you may be her, by all means let me know!!

Music:

I go through phases. Neil Young, Paul Simon, Simon & Garfunkel, Yes, Norah Jones, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Pink Floyd, The Little Willies, Fergie, Nelly Furtado, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, video game music (nintendo), Bela Fleck, The Police, Genesis, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, and The Allman Brothers.

Movies:

All movies are garbage until proven otherwise. Although most are too cliche for me, there are some that made the cut: Little Miss Sunshine, Kill Bill vol. 1, Dan in Real Life, Stranger Than Fiction, Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, Chronicles of Narnia, 3:10 to Yuma, Matrix 1 and 2 (3 not so much), Swiss Family Robinson, Indiana Jones Trilogy, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Zoolander, Be Cool, Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy, The Bourne Identity....

Television:

New Yankee Workshop, Woodworks, How It's Made, Mythbusters, Extreme Engineering, etc. I also love The Office and House although both are not on any more... Pretty much everything else is garbage.

Books:

The classics: (To Kill a Mockingbird, The Outsiders, Old Man and the Sea, Heart of Darkness, The Odyssey)
Books about science and math: (Time Travel in Einstein's Universe)
Books that chastise materialism, vanity, and things of this nature: (Amusing Ourselves to Death, The Overworked American, Fast-food Nation)
Civil Rights books (The Struggle for Black Equality, Until Justice Rolls Down)
Political Science books: (1984, Brave New World, Walden)
I just finished reading "Monster: The Autobiography of an L.A. Gang Member.
Now I am reading "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking

Heroes:

My dad.
