Shatner's rendition of 'Rocket Man'is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, the man is obviously a genius. Captain Janeway has a voice like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang being violated by the Blue Man Group. Captain Benjamin Sisko tries too hard to seem charismatic. Captain Jonathan Archer is far too goody goody. Captain Jean Luc Picard always seems like he's thinking "I used to play Hamlet, how did I end up starring in this crap?" His resentment is palpable.
I love sci-fi series like all the Star Treks, Babylon 5, Andromeda (crummy), Battlestar Galactica (the original seventies series) and the current series and Firefly (seriously under-rated). Other than that the TV is mostly a hateful box of talking faces that mock me with a kind of polished insincerity.
