Ok, well I'm Jennie, and I come from Grays..... (not sure if that's a good or bad thing yet.........) I have a full time job as and Engineering Apprentice, yes that's right, a girl doing engineering, where I do Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. I have been doing engineering for 5 years now, and I am just finishing my last year as an apprentice, which is 4 years long. Luckily, my apprenticeship lets me to pracitcal as well as theory. I have compiled many qualifications throughout my time, which range from nvq's to hnc's. Ok, now whilst you pick your jaw up from the floor...... I'll stop talking about work, and let you know that I also have many different hobbies. As well as my full time job, I also work for PhoenixFM, which is a local radio station for Brentwood and Billaricay. At the moment I am going to different gigs, and interviewing some amazing bands. After putting a podcast together with a friend of mine, Bianca, we've recently been given a slot every Saturday night from 6 -8 pm!! Anyone who know's me will tell you that I am a very out-going person, who would like to give anything a try, and who hardly has time to put her bum down on a chair!! I am extremely busy what with work and Scouts, yes that's right I did say scouts, (we'll get to that in a min), as well as working for PhoenixFM and generally going out pubbing and clubbing. Oh and also playing in a band, ok, now it's not a rock band or anything like that, but just a local wind band, in which I play principle clarinet. I like to have many friends, but my closest friends are those who I have grown up with through school and scouts. I love them dearly, and they have stuck with me through thick and thin. Now my mister..... Glenn is 26, and I have been with him for 5 years. He has helped me though some very difficult stages of my life, and I love him dearly, with all my heart. We're planning to start a new chapter in both our lives by buying a house together this year. We've already started looking, so hopefully by the end of the year we'll have our own place!! So looks like we've got a nice future ahead of us, especially if it's anything like the 'ol fortune lady told me!! Ok enough of lovey dovey stuff, on to the Scouts. That word keeps cropping up doesn't it?!? I know you are all thinking oh it's all "dib dib dob" etc, but oh how wrong you are!! Believe it or not, scouts dont' run round doing knot's all day every day, and chanting some strange words....... As time has moved on, so has scouts. I am a very active member with the Scout Assosciation, and I have been since I was 7 ish. I am a Scout Leader, a Network Member and a Liason / Recruitment Co-ordinator, a Fellowship Member, and a World Jamboree International Service Team Co-ordinator. I have also been a Cub leader, and Secretary. Ok if all that seemed like a mouthfull, I'll just explain a bit about Network, as that is where I am most active. Network is for 18 - 25 year olds, and basically we party hard, drink hard and play hard!! You'll find some pictures on here........ I have been to some extrodinary places, and learn so many new skills with being involved with scouting. I have been to France, Belgium, Switzerland twice, and Australia twice amongst many other places. I have learnt how to rifle shoot, (which i'm suprisingly great at!!), archey, cannoeing, sailing, windsurfing, white water rafting, climbing, abseiling, play with fire (we'll come to that in a min), assault courses, scuba diving, snorkling, circus skills, etc. Scouting has offered me so many new experiances which I thought I would never get to do. One of my new hobbies which I have picked up through Scouting, is circus skills, now we're not just talking about juggling 3 balls, we're talking about devil stiks, poi, diabolo, etc........ And of course doing all these whilst they are on fire!! I have also learnt how to fire breath, which really, how many people can say they have done.......!!!
