About Me

Save the Astoria
The Crossrail project have plans on our favourite venue. Crossrail's 'people' have informed usthat "The Astoria Theatre will be demolished to make way for a worksite necessary for the construction of the new Crossrail station platformsand passages."
That's right. Instead of the London Astoria, we get a hole in the ground. A building site. And all for a ventilation shaft.
Now needless to say, this is a bit of a blow, but we're not giving up yet. From here on we have to step up our efforts, and to do this, we'regoing to need all of the help we can get.
If you're interested in helping out, even in the smallest way, sign up to the mailing list, and add us on your Myspace. And of course, sign the petition, it'll still come in handy for demonstrating how many people want to Save the Astoria, from whatever threat.
xx Jade and Sarah, october 2006..
