Okay just in case anyone's vaguely interested, I've pretty much done everything you can in the music world apart from being a major rock star and seeing as thats unlikely to ever happen I'm now busy running two indie record labels and a management company.
In the past - and occasionally still - I've been a tour manager and worked on tours with Muse, The Donnas, Motorhead, The Spill Canvas, The Next Nine Years, Mo-ho-bish-o-pi and a few others. I've worked as a music journalist, promoter and venue manager, been a really bad college lecturer, fixed computer networks really badly, washed dishes in cheap restaurants and been the Maitre D at a posh one, delivered newspapers, stacked shelves in supermarkets, had my heart broken once, taken acid at Glastonbury and laughed my tits off as the sun rose over the sacred stones, shared a tour bus with Lemmy for a week and spent a month recovering, spent every penny I have on music and a thousand that I didn't have (the mob will get me one day soon) and as i write this I'm still loving the rock and the roll and everything in between.
Most importantly I still reckon I've taken more out of music than its taken out of me but, for you young 'uns starting out in rock and roll, my advice is... hell, you won't listen cos I never did. Just enjoy the ride cos thats all it is, as Sir Bill Hicks put it - we all know the final destination so party onnnnnnnnn !!!!
