About Me

Rob Blake, half West Londoner / half West Berliner, founder of Freedom 2 Dance (Back 2 '89 / History of House / Back 2 '93) which celebrates the halcyon days of clubbing, been playing out since the mid-eighties and worked for Kiss 100 FM as a club DJ from '89 [playing on the "Good Times" sound system at 2nd Base back then *supporting Paul 'Trouble' Anderson* and Moondance today]. Owes just about everything to Strong Island Radio (1988) & da Reinforced kru. Alongside house sets, frequently played much loved D'n'B @ 3rd Base & @ the Lazerdrome, Peckham back in '93. Broadcasted every Saturday night between 6pm & 8pm on www.unknownfm.net (108FM). Played in Ibiza since 1992, rocking the main rooms of Pacha, Privilege, Amnesia & Es Paradis - also DJed with Stuart & Leo during the Soulsonic sessions at Bora Bora. Current big gigs include History of House at Koko (Camden Palace) and Moondance @ SEOne - these are a couple of the biggest parties currently taking place in London. Rob's musical roots go back to reggae, soul, electro and hip-hop, having now built a strong reputation for playing past and present classic House.
