I was an MC with Steel Productions in 1978-80 in the Boogie Down Bronx. DJ Steel (known now as Chuck Chillout), DJ Bentley Bee, DJ Capricorn and The Vicious 3 MC's, Kendo, Rocky-D and me Kan-Dee. The group also included the Outlaw Four Mc's (Million Dollar Legs), Basic, Disco Rick, Jazzy Jay & Juny Jay. Later I became part of the dance group Female Finesse/Finesse 4; Crystal(RIP), Janice, Lavern, and Althea and me. We danced at shows for groups like ColdCrush Bros, DJ Whiz Kid (RIP) & Funky 4 + 1. Afrika Bambaataa actually gave us our first spot (Also a Zulu Queen since 1978). T-Connection, Ectasy Garage, Hunts Point Palace, Your Spot and Harlem World were our favorite spots. Female Finesse also did some singing back in the day. We sang background on records for MCs Tricky Tee & Robski of the CB Crew's Devastating 4. We also recorded background vocals for T-Ski Valley's "Sexual Rapping" and appeared with him on "The Ron Alexander Show" (Feb 1983). We were also fortunate to do shout outs on records for Bam & Shango too. I have a 24 year old daughter Chakira who is the Goddaughter of DJ Love Squigg of the CB Crew and the late Hip-Hop drummer Pumpkin. I also have a 4 yr old grandson Anthony Jayden, that loves music, Especially the drums (Pumpkin would be so proud). I love Old School memories and they will live in my Heart & Soul Forever.
