Objektiv One was born Ross Edman in St. Cloud, MN. He was raised on a healthy diet of Rock N’ Roll, Oldies, Country, Soul, Hip Hop, and Metal. When he was seven years old his father received a job opportunity in Texas. He moved to the suburbs of Dallas in 1992, which would become the greatest adventure of his life.
Upon entering middle school he began receiving lessons in the local band program in percussion and drums. After 4 years of foundational music education he entered into High School where he marched for the drumline. He also took advanced courses in Music Theory, and Art. In high school he also discovered audio engineering and home based recording. He quickly began working with Reason. After discovering the power of his greatest tool coupled along with MIDI he began writing backing tracks for the bands he was playing in.
Sometime years later in Art School he discovered Hip Hop’s fullest potential and realized all the tools and skills he had developed could be applied to Hip Hop. Soon after he began his journey to synthesize his personal knowledge of music and his love of composing music.
This journey is currently where we find him....
He also collects shoes, and likes fitted hats.
He also likes eating Chinese Food and keeping it real. Duh.
